I finally ditched the side pole and lettered more widely, and I'm glad I did. It's not perfect but the lettering feels much more natural to me now. I decided to do some kind of versals for the capital letters, to keep the text from being just a big ol' boring block of grey.

These were at China's first international conference on tobacco and health in Tianjin, as well as Beijing Medical College and Shanghai First Medical College. My surname is rendered in Mandarin, pronounced something like "To" "Se" "Ma". See scroll photo.
This scroll contains a collection of Mahayana Sutras and incantations written in ink on paper using the Khotanese and Sanskrit languages. The ancient kingdom of Khotan was located on the Silk Road (Xinjiang, northwest China) and was one of the main centres of Buddhism until the 11th century. This scroll was commissioned by a Buddhist patron requesting long life for himself and his family. (Dunhuang, China, 943 CE).

Halifax - Maritime Museum of the Atlantic - Halifax Explosion exhibit - a small portion of the "Hope and Survival Memorial Quilt" (aka Halifax Explosion Memorial Quilt) by Laurie Swim was a community project that is a memorial to the Halifax Explosion. There are two elements to this project: the first is the 'Hope and Survival Memorial Quilt' and the second is the 'Scroll of Remembrance'.

Inspired by A Statue imposed by King Henry VIII and written by the King in the 6th year of his reign (1515) was an amended, more specifically detailed version to replace an earlier Royal Statute of 1363
