Stupidly, I didn't remember to take a picture of this one when it was finished.

I wanted narrow DOF, so I got some.

First attempt at shooting smoke, still learning technique.

Tiered, buttercream iced retirement cake, accented with scroll work on the sides of each cake. Fondant bow loops adorn the top of the middle and bottom tiers while a real bow acts as a topper. Cake was constructed using seperator plates and pillars.

The famous scroll faceplate. THis one is in great shape.

The gouache is too thick in several places, the whitework is.... amateurish, and the colors are iffy.... but it is DONE!

Animal with scroll . Detail of carving on bressummer at W A Church, Bures, Suffolk. Restored in the 20th century but, as the arms featured on the centre of the beam relate to Henry VII, it is almost certainly of Tudor origin.

Forged leaf scroll for Calgary city hall project

This is a character in the Elder scrolls Oblivion. He has gold armour.

This was meant to illustrate the building of the famous Kiyomizudera temple in Kyoto.

 

At the Tokyo National Museum. This is one of Japan's oldest museums, and showcases Japanese archeological exhibits, art and artefacts. The Japanese Gallery presents the "Highlights of Japanese Art" which indeed gives an excellent introduction.

This ring was hand formed from 16 gauge sterling silver wire. The scrolls were made using round nose pliers, the ring was soldered together and then lightly hammered prior to being polished to a mirror finish.
