I love tortoise binding on blonde mandolins. Of course, it's not REAL tortoise shell. That would be cruel. It would be illegal, too.
While photographing my scroll I noticed that over the years my table top has acquired a painting of its own. After I am gone, the board can be framed as my supreme masterpiece.
A scroll I received at Ice Dragon 2015
Scroll is by Lady Kadlin Sigvaldakona, based on the 'Taking of Christ' from the Hours of Catherine of Cleves. Words are by Mistress Orianna Fridrikskona.
Artistic endeavors dazzle the eye, enchant the ears, charm the nose, and satisfy the hands. The work of Caleb Reynolds is a delight to the senses, and it is with pleasure to recognize this by selecting him as the Kingdom Minister of Arts and Sciences Choice at the Grand Festival of the Passing of the Ice Dragon on March 21, AS 49 in the reign of Tutus Scipio Germanicus and Anna Leigh.

No idea where the rest of the keyboard was. This one key was all I found.

Scroll of Fire is a monument found in the Jerusalem hills, and it commemorates Jewish history from The Holocaust until Independence. The monument was inaugurated in 1971.
The initiative for the monument came from B'nai B'rith of the United States, and was funded by them. The monument was sculptured by the artist Nathan Rapoport, who is a Holocaust survivor.
One of the scrolls describes the Holocaust and the other describes independence. In the space between the two scrolls, there are two rooms of memorial, and in each one is engraved a quote from the bible.
Wednesday night's snow did a good job at revealing the intricate pattern of scrolls on this wrought iron gate.

An early work completed before I started scanning the scrolls. I did the calligraphy by using a light board. This was done on the wrong paper with the wrong paint and I wish that I could do calligraphy as nice as this, freehand.

This is one of a trio of resin angels I found several years ago. While the sculptor took great pains to make them look like very old carved wooden figurines, the company that produced them decided to have them painted in garish bright colors...I decided to repaint them like old driftwood to bring out the sculpture.
I love this scrolly frame! The hot bod on the upper left is not bad either (he is wearing sweatpants.)
Please excuse the horrible pictures. This is a scroll for a friend's court barony. She loves elephants so I did this elephant based on a couple of examples. This scroll looks much better than this picture depicts.
Pictures taken for putting it on eBay, but might as well stick 'em here too, and maybe get around to putting this in the PigPog museum sometime.
