ROMY HAAG Blind Dates

Singer Romy Haag is now embarking on a very special experiment in her new show: Musical "blind dates" are the focus of a project that holds exciting surprises and real discoveries in store. Because on stage, there will be encounters with artists Romy has never worked with before, including established singers and musicians from the underground, exciting new names that may not yet be known to Berlin audiences and Romy's very own insider tips.

Romy Haag skillfully spans the arc from the familiar to the magic of the new. In doing so, she always remains true to herself and once again lives up to her high standards of presenting a rocking, avant-garde and entertaining evening.

Romy Haag's concerts always resemble an enchanting rendezvous. They are poignant encounters with people and themes that have shaped the artist's multifaceted life over the past decades. Romy Haag is emotional, personally touching and also political in her songs. However, she always presents her cherished and new "favorite songs" without a rueful look back. Instead, the songs are characterized by the here and now.

Supplemented with interesting anecdotes from the various stages of her exciting life, the "Blind Dates" promise to be a captivating show.

Animal with scroll . Detail of carving on bressummer at W A Church, Bures, Suffolk. Restored in the 20th century but, as the arms featured on the centre of the beam relate to Henry VII, it is almost certainly of Tudor origin.

Scroll of Fire is a monument found in the Jerusalem hills, and it commemorates Jewish history from The Holocaust until Independence. The monument was inaugurated in 1971.

The initiative for the monument came from B'nai B'rith of the United States, and was funded by them. The monument was sculptured by the artist Nathan Rapoport, who is a Holocaust survivor.

One of the scrolls describes the Holocaust and the other describes independence. In the space between the two scrolls, there are two rooms of memorial, and in each one is engraved a quote from the bible.

Qumran is an archaeological site in the West Bank. It is best known as the settlement nearest to the caves in which the Dead Sea Scrolls were hidden, caves in the sheer desert cliffs and beneath, in the marl terrace.

Not the most interesting exhibition we've been to (and expensive) recently.

But it's fascinating to see some of the oldest Bibles in the world.

I finally ditched the side pole and lettered more widely, and I'm glad I did. It's not perfect but the lettering feels much more natural to me now. I decided to do some kind of versals for the capital letters, to keep the text from being just a big ol' boring block of grey.
