The initiative for the monument came from B'nai B'rith of the United States, and was funded by them. The monument was sculptured by the artist Nathan Rapoport, who is a Holocaust survivor.
One of the scrolls describes the Holocaust and the other describes independence. In the space between the two scrolls, there are two rooms of memorial, and in each one is engraved a quote from the bible.

An early work completed before I started scanning the scrolls. I did the calligraphy by using a light board. This was done on the wrong paper with the wrong paint and I wish that I could do calligraphy as nice as this, freehand.
Words were by me:
On this day many throwners were put to the test, only one rose above to be the best. Master Charles of Alden was the winner of the thrown weapons tourney at the passing of the Ice Dragon, AS XXXVII
This is one of a trio of resin angels I found several years ago. While the sculptor took great pains to make them look like very old carved wooden figurines, the company that produced them decided to have them painted in garish bright colors...I decided to repaint them like old driftwood to bring out the sculpture.
I love this scrolly frame! The hot bod on the upper left is not bad either (he is wearing sweatpants.)

Words are by myself:
Do all here present pay heed to the words of Timothy of Arindale, by skill of arms, Prince of AEthelmearc. To the nobles and commoners of this, our fair Kingdom, it is the wish and desire of Timothy, the aforesaid Prince of AEthelmearc, to hold up before all, the fair works of the trusty and welbeloved subject {INSERT NAME HERE} whose skill in the arts and sciences did impress royal eyes and so moved hand to paper and name you and your work Prince's Choice at the Ice Dragon A&S Pentathalon, held on this 21st day of March, AS nine and forty. And these letters shall be your warrant in this behalf.

My sister is opening another music school and I've promised to take some violin pictures to be hanged on the wall. Hopefully this set of pictures is good enough. :)
I honestly thought that scrolls at the baronial level didn't have a seal... but I like how the signet solved my omission with a nifty hanging wax seal!
