A great movie. Two things I always think about when I think of this film. #1 - It's my favorite Tom Hanks performance. #2 It is absolutely unbelievable that this film lost Best Picture to "Shakespeare in Love"

Every child has dreams of his own. Through the support of kind-hearted sponsors and donors, World Vision helps fulfil these dreams. These children in turn lend their helping hand to their society in every possible way.

Twelve-year-old Bali was studying in the 7th std. when she heard her parents discussing marriage proposals for her. The thought troubled her as she had seen her peers getting married at 13 or 14—the ‘done thing’ in her community—a tribe of Melghat, Maharashtra.

But Bali had an innate desire to pursue her studies. Luckily for Bali, her mother Rupay Babulal, a member of World Vision’s Self Help Group, stood by her. But on her own she could not have succeeded, had it not been for the staff of World Vision who counselled her father and convinced him on the need for letting her continue her education.

With World Vision’s counsel and support, Bali is now a trained and certified ANM (Auxiliary Nursing and Midwifery). Bali decided it was best to get trained in this area, as she wanted to help her people who had to travel 12 kms for the nearest PHC (Public Health Centre).

Today Bali is on a 3-year contract with ANM. She is helping run the government clinic in her village and also helping her siblings get educated and pursue their dreams.

Most importantly, Bali is working at the sub-centre and with the help of the staff nurse helping bring new life safely into the world.

Hannhell didn't hesitate when my Ken doll decided to go swimming and I couldn't reach him anymore. A bit later we learned there were a lot of sharp pieces of glass on the shore.

Evernote save a variety of media. When saving webpages, it saves a copy of the page and then offers the user a pointer to the page on the live internet.

Saving the docs off my broken hard disk (bad sectors) to an old 30GB disk.

Windows refused to start even in safe mode so I used Puppy Linux to copy the files between the disks.

Now need to get a new 80GB IDE disk to put in the machine.
