We cut the the four and a half hour walk up to the Rifugio Silvio Agostini by catching a "taxi" half way up along the gorge of Val Ambiez. Run by the very friendly Bosetti Giorgio it was worth every penny, especially as I'd fractured my heel and Ben was suffering from nerve problems in his leg.
The Old Harbor Life Saving Station was moved from Chatam to Race Point Beach in 1977 to be preserved as a museum to document the harsh life of the men who were stationed there. They were patrolling the Atlantic beaches every night and would attempt rescue if they saw any ships in distress. They saved thousands of life and became part of the Coast Guard in 1915.
The Pride of Beale Street, housing a bustling saloonand a hotel favored by the Orpheum Theatre crowd. Every room had a marble fireplace. Judge Gallina lived on the top floor and held court on the 2nd. The steel girders were added in 1980 as a temporary measure after fire gutted the interior. They are now an "art piece" and are probably permanent

A corner. I've been saving these odd shaped buttons for ages, and even though they were the wrong colour I decided to use them to illustrate the fact that these women did not fit the mould. I overpainted them with copper acrylic paint and shimmering gold interference paint.
I even overpainted the fibre edging and the stitching.... it's very freeing to dollop acrylic paint on top of painstakingly hand stitched pieces. It changes the nature of the whole piece, although it does take some courage
Ok I swear this will be my last Wishlist for a while. I’m getting so agitated waiting for my savings to build that I can’t do anything but look at the gorgeous dolls I want! D:

Widefield astrophotographic image showing a sky full of stars on a very cold, crispy clear night. The lights over the horizon are from city lights in Sicily.
Had one of those random bursts of inspiration last night.
Turned my bedroom light on, pointed the camera at it, really under exposed it so I could just see the nice glowing tube. The under-exposing turned my white, translucent, glass lampshade black with only the swirly strips in the inside to reflect the light from the bulb.
Just an Idea....
I was very angry and mad when my LACIE HD stopped working without prior notice! All my work is on it >: (
Luckily a short research on google revealed the bitter truth about low quality of power supply that LACIE makes. Apparently, many users who own a hard drive made by LACIE, their power supply fails more often than not within less than a year! in my case, it just passed a year, ufff. I can't buy any power supply because their plug is shaped different.
I had to work on a jpeg thumbnail picture from my Apple Aperture and it took quite some work in Photoshop to salvage whats left from this noisy thumbnail
