Blankets and Throws to Knit - Debbie Abrahams

Detail of Jane Bostocke sampler, 1598. Victoria & Albert Museum, London, England.

Wedding Sampler stitched in 2009.

Design by me - using lots of basic designs and tweaked adaptations of celtic designs found in CrossStitcher magazine.

Mini space sampler - four tiles choosen from the 16 tiles original.

This was stitched for a dear friend of mine who studies astrophysics, and these four tiles were particularly meaningful to our friendship.

The larger sampler was designed by Geri Ambrose of The Mathyspere (bought on Etsy).

Stitched on 25 count black Lugana using 3 strands of DMC floss.

I changed the colour scheme of the Martian sky from blue to yellow to give it a stormy look.

At Engine House 9 in Tacoma.

The sampler at the Water Street Brewery in Milwaukee, WI.

Using pattern from Jenny Hart's Embroidered Effects

This is my Stars & Stripes Forever version of Oh Fransson's Mod Sampler Quiltalong: www.ohfransson.com/oh_fransson/quiltalong.html

My blog entry: www.sewamazin.com/2009/04/mod-sampler-quilt-stars-stripes...

Our favorite brews of the day.

Contrary Wife Block also made by Michael.

A sampler I started years ago, need to finish, clean and frame. Love the colours and the abstract quality of it.

Sampler quilt made from a pattern in the book, Great American Quilts 1987. I have long since admired this quilt and made this one to kinda match. Started in 10/2009.

I just used the initials on the sampler...afterall, it's suppose to be a reproduction of one actually owned by author Beatrix Potter.

Perfect ending to a fabulous day with friends. A sampler of freshly brewed beer. Delish!!

you take some cast away yarn

and then you go crazy with all your tunesian crochet skills and different stitch patterns.

and then the project will become a lap blanket or a baby blanket (that I will have lined with flannel backing to make it really good!)

someone said it looked more like weaving than crochet or knitting

Johnnie Walker Taster

Finished! Official photo! :-D

the schoolhouse blocks received straight lines and diagonals as well

6 different threadings and 36 different treadlings.

I know this is from last year, but Jena just told me about it, so I have an excuse!!

Once again I forgot that the paper-piecing instructions posted to the Yahoogroup aren't reversed so that the blocks match the book. No big deal. I'm still pretty happy with the block. That awesome mustardy green makes another appearance.

A sampler pack I ordered from www.stampeaz.com It has 2 PZ Kut blocks, a speedball block and the giant-eraser-esque Mastercarve from Staedtler.

(Very happy with the price - $20 for this pack - as well as super fast shipping!)
