Section 10 Warp-faced weave.

Before finishing. Worsted-weight cotton. (Chunky stuff, not great for a small-scale project like this.)

Mini space sampler - four tiles choosen from the 16 tiles original.

This was stitched for a dear friend of mine who studies astrophysics, and these four tiles were particularly meaningful to our friendship.

The larger sampler was designed by Geri Ambrose of The Mathyspere (bought on Etsy).

Stitched on 25 count black Lugana using 3 strands of DMC floss.

I changed the colour scheme of the Martian sky from blue to yellow to give it a stormy look.

This sampler for lesson 4 is only half finished but I have decided to move onto lesson 5 and work on this later. It is based on a Charles Rennie Macintosh design for a stained glass window.

First layer cake I've ever bought. I didn't realize I had ordered the "retro" colorway, but I like it!

An 8ply raw wool sampler rug, before I embroidered seed stitch around joins & border

I decided that I'd make the challenge blocks - I have the January 01 bonus block to go back and make, and then I will be 100% caught up on all these blocks.
