Last night my brother in The Netherlands sent me this picture of a sampler I embroidered in the late seventies and early eighties. When I moved to Taiwan I didn't take it with me. I was afraid the climate here, which is very humid, would ruin the very fine muslin and yarn.

I became obsessed with finding the right prints for this project, while still retaining the original background fabric (light blue) and the original binding fabric (multi-colored stripe).
