For my sampler blanket - the first knitting project I started, but not the first I've finished. I've been working on it for a year and a half, and have only knit up half of the yarn. Plymouth Yarn's Encore 25% wool 75% acrylic.
I'm not so sure I really like the yarn, now that I've knit with wool/alpaca blends and Noro... but I do like that I've been able to grow and challenge my knitting skills by making each set of squares an excuse to learn a new pattern.
Finished! I had a hard time taking nice photos of it, but these will do. Maybe when the weather finally dries out, I'll try a few outside.

Memory together......grandmoother, mother and me, we make this laces between 1800-1900. Myself 1972.
A knitting sampler, knitted last night and about to be frogged. I used the yarn that I got from the Biggan Dups class on Continental Knitting at the iKnit Weekender. It is DK weight 100% Australian Merino Wool and a delight to knit with. All of this stitch patterns were worked from "400 Knitting Stitches: Great Stitch Patterns" (Murdoch Books) - except the "heel stitch" which I found on www.thedietdiary.com/blog/lucia/525 - and the stitch names and page numbers can be seen in the 'notes' as you hover over the photos on their flickr page.
These are my two blocks for the Pinwheel Sampler Quilt a long Week 1. I am excited to do this quilt and see how all the aqua and red turn out together. Have been saving this fabric for a special project and I am glad we have begun on this journey together. I’m finally making some decent progress on this sampler, after having reconsidered my original fabric choices after discovering I was slightly short the required yardage of one of them.
I went on a fabric hunting spree, trying to find replacements to match my vision. I ended up having a slight obsession with heavily geometric and angular tone on tone prints.

The cursive letter "A a" is hand embroidered and rests on machine stitched notebook paper-inspired lines. All this cuteness is done on a beautiful natural cotton and the other side is fabric I designed and had printed by Spoonflower on a wonderful linen/cotton blend. The lining is red polka dot cotton and the zipper is black. This pouch also features a brown ribbon handle.
These 3 bold fabrics work great together!
This zipper pouch is my own pattern, wider at the base makes it roomier inside. It measures 6" wide and 5" high.
Modern sampler adapted from earlier model types. This is 90% from a yardsale kit with no coversheet or copyright information.

and #15) Try to convey a particular smell (paint, new-mown hay, fresh bread) to your viewers.
and #11) Are your horizons perfectly level? Give one a radical tilt for a different look.
