Set of 2 samplers - a nice side and a not so nice side. Ideal for exchanging when the vicar comes round for tea!

See profile for details of where to purchase.

I misplaced two of my blocks for this sampler, and needed to re-make them.

Took some time tonight to complete the last couple of days' worth of 365 Challenge Sampler blocks.

Nine of the blocks were won in a Block Lotto; since they didn't go together, i thought to start on a sampler. I was helped by finding precut tan and red squares in a pile I bought at an auction, also the pinwheel triangles. I used the suares and pinwheels as leaders and enders until i had a critical mass. I used some for the four patch square in the 54-40 or fight where i wanted to practice with my new tri-recs ruler.

Blackwork motifs - mainly in Holbein stitch with a few cross stitches.

A knitting sampler, knitted last night and about to be frogged. I used the yarn that I got from the Biggan Dups class on Continental Knitting at the iKnit Weekender. It is DK weight 100% Australian Merino Wool and a delight to knit with. All of this stitch patterns were worked from "400 Knitting Stitches: Great Stitch Patterns" (Murdoch Books) - except the "heel stitch" which I found on www.thedietdiary.com/blog/lucia/525 - and the stitch names and page numbers can be seen in the 'notes' as you hover over the photos on their flickr page.

I completed this sampler for my nephew's first birthday. It's a shame about the picture quality but it was a few years back and I didn't have the best of quality digital camera!!!! I had to snap it from a distance too.

I'm going to try and get a shot of it when I go to my sisters house next time!

Started a couple of new ones. This one has weeks 7 (detached chain stitch) & 8 (chain stitch, which will make up the whole border when I finish)

my personal drawing of my action sampler :D

The air sampler is operated on the bow of the ship, the forwardmost point of the ship.

The air sampling equipment is located on the bow of the ship, constructed of aluminum booms with samplers attached at the end. The samplers are set up to point into the wind for several hours, so as to collect air upwind of exhaust stacks. This equipment is used to filter particles and gasses from the air, which are analyzed for atmospheric contaminants. Monitoring these samples enables scientists to determine the quantity of contaminants that enter the lake from the atmosphere.

This is the sampler quilt from classes I took in 2008. Finally put together in 2011.

Finished! I had a hard time taking nice photos of it, but these will do. Maybe when the weather finally dries out, I'll try a few outside.

Pretty sampler pattern from welovefrenchknots.

I love this, it's been years since I last embroidered so this was a great start.

I plan on making a cardboard box to store my hoops and wips so this will make a great lid.
