A child's stitch sampler in cream linen with twenty stitch samples in varied colours. Each stitch is underlined with a type-written title on paper, which has been attached with glue. The whole sampler is edged with lace borders - one in tatting and three in crochet.

This quilt pattern is Jacob's Ladder. I made this quilt sampler picture for my second cousin. Clyde and I went and hung it on her corn crib over the weekend. I chose this pattern for her because her Grandfather's name was Jake. I thought that this was the perfect place to hang the picture for I love this old crib and check out the old boat and wooden wagon with the metal wheel under the crib.

artisanal cheese sampler - 5 minutes
A. an assortment of 5 artisanal cheese
B. 5 cheeses. Usually from around the world. serves 2 to 4 people.
C. Served with figs, dried apricots, fresh bosc pear, marcona almonds mediterranean olive mix, honey and fresh baked breads on a stone slab

these are all blocks that i had made a couple of years ago when i first got going and have sat in a drawer so decided time to get them out and sewn together very mish mash !!!!

After ALOT of research (and help from the flickr Photoshop Support Group) I can colorize my stuff. I love the black and white, but sometimes and I want to play and this was the result of my first one.

I have a lot of troubles with scrappy quilting (way too type A for it to come naturally), but this went way better than normal! I think sashing the scraps helped because I didn't need to make very large scrappy sections. At one point I took two sections, cut them each in half-ish, and sewed them to each other to help break up the block. Love the result!
Here's the set - and proof that different manufacturers don't make things the same color! The ground fabric is all called "cream"....
My samples are completely done, and ready to be sent off with promotional materials to the sampler. Look for them in the August sampler! That's 200 bracelets right there folks.. wowie.
