Eunny's is blue, mine is brown
I am amazed how different they look, although the pattern was the same.
Close up of the complete squares I got done so far.
The French knotted sewing machine is my favorite, I wanted it to be like a vintage Singer sewing machine. French knots were a pain but it's matter of practice. Also I used 100% rayon thread to make the flourish details and it made the work harder but since it's my first time at French knotting I like how it looks.
My second favorite is the feather stitch square, I really like the colors, I used lamé thread in one of the "branches", never stitched with that material before, it was tricky but I like challenges.
Dug into the stash for an older favorite (the white/black print), and a newer favorite (the acid green print)..
8 inch quilt blocks from Jelly Roll Sampler Quilts by Pam & Nicky Lintott.
Jelly roll fabric given to me by my parents for my birthday last year. Hence the title! No idea what it is though I've noticed the printing on the selvedges mention the British Museum company and Kona Bay.
A work in process... I felt like making something sweet and girlie ... These are little grannies in different colors and patterns done in Caron soft yarn using the join as you go method in half double crochet.

Eddie Bauer edition of a 35mm Action Sampler. I haven't taken any photos with this in a while. I still have some old prints and negatives in a box somewhere, I am wanting to scan when I get the time.
Used it a few weeks ago and realize now, the last lens is not opening properly in sequence. It sometimes stays open until I advance the frame, or doesn't open at all.
Biltemasta "ei kiipeilykäyttöön" - toimii tossa hyvin kun yhden saa kerrallaan irti kätevästi.
Strobist: Does not need much explanation - this seems to be pretty handy, divided the set in two and I can shuffle it around the loop nicely and once I find what I want, it's easy to remove it from the clip for use. These are the cheapo "not for climbing" aluminum clips.
The 3u high case is tightly packed, multiple circuit boards, what looks like about a mile of interconnection wire. The UI is very good, some of these old devices are still fun to play with (=creativity-enhancing) today.
This is a new concept I am trying out suggested by Jess at Sugadeaux. A sampler box of 5 different cupcakes that I hope to offer once a month as my schedule allows.
I find that since I bake on order only, with a minimum of 12 cupcakes, many people want to try my cupcakes but don't because they don't want to commit to 12 at a time. I heard this from several customers who stopped by Printemps when I had the pop-up store.
So, here you have it. This is one of the sampler boxes I prepared this AM:
Caramel Dolce (center)
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang Red Velvet (top left)
Rogue (top right)
Touch Me Tease Me Malteser (bottom left)
You Were Mint for Me (bottom right)

Pattern: Masquerade from _Tatting with Visual Patterns_
One of my collection of samplers.
This one is modern but based on traditional designs. It is dated 2000. I found it on Kettering market in 2009.
I needed just one more square for such a long time! Finally, I got it quilted by Pam, it looks great!
Here are two more color versions of the layered floral. I combined basic and half drop versions with both dark and light backgrounds in one swatch to save money. I've already printed four or five of them in an attempt to get colors I like. Changed them all this time except a couple of greens. I also had some dark yellow flowers, and some light in the dark background version, but they show no apparent difference.
Still not happy! I don't know what's wrong. I've picked from my chart, and tried not to get red/blues and green/blues together, but, again, it just didn't work! The light sides of the bluebells on the light background have a red/violet tint that doesn't work with the blue background. Think I'll try making them solid in the darkest of the blues.
