I have only recently become aware of an apparent long time practice of couples expressing there devotion to each other by locking a lock or pair of locks to some permanent object like this bridge railing on the Harmar rail and foot bridge. This has become a pretty popular practice here with scores of these locks on the railing of the bridge. Here are just a few samples.

Proof that although devotion may never fade it apparently does become a little rusty with time LOL.

Rusty was Grandma Hazel's favorite brother, he was a pipefitter in SLC and Erna worked as a bookeeper/alteration specialist at ZCMI. She just passed away this year, she was a very spry 93...she was healthy her whole life but she couldnt recover from a broken hip.
