Can't remember what adjustments I used on this to give it a high contrast / high key look, but I kind of like it, particularly since the sky was all washed out anyhow. And I love the reflected trees.

I heard a bit more of the story from a fellow dog walker. Apparently it was a stolen car, dumped about six months ago in the bush. The council moved it to where it is now (still in the bush, but near a track it could be towed away from). About a week later, it was torched. It's still not been taken away. To me, it's become a bit of a feature on this particular walk, and I'd miss it!

2012 Ferienfahrt Europapark Rust

Just a bit of old rusty chain and rope that I found hanging off one of the 'dozers on the beach at Hastings. I liked the contrasting colours and the texture.

A study in the beauty of decay. These photos of rust were taken on a day I learned that a family member had been diagnosed with cancer. I'm sure I departed from my usual practice of photographing beautiful landscapes in an effort to remind myself that you can find beauty even in decay if you look deeply enough.
