due to an odd autumn, weather-wise, a lot of our trees didn't undergo the showy display that is often seen in new england in the fall. we have a lot of trees that are different shades of this orangy-rust color. kinda cool i think.
The town of Rust was lovely. I mean, just look at those plants and the men wearing lederhosen!
This was our route to and from the Pension Im Sunnegässle and Europa Park.
Close up, the old crane rails of Tynemouth Pier look like Grand Canyon-esque landscapes. Love the ever-changing detail in these spots.

wear this tunic all year long - in warmer months it's great as a dress or top and in colder months it looks cute paired with leggings and a sweater!
it's super comfy - made with a brand new (and laundered) t-shirt jersey pillowcase. the crocheted edging was done with soft (not scratchy) acrylic yarn.
this tunic is made from a rust colored pillowcase and has a multi-color edging that includes oranges, browns & yellows.
one size fits most. measured flat, it's about 19" across and 31" lengthwise from the shoulder to the bottom of the crocheted edge.
machine wash, air dry.
This car had '91 tags on the plates which makes me think this entire place has been abandoned for about 20 years.
The types of rust were as varied as the cars. I'd never really thought about rust patterns being all that different. Here they were like varied types of fungi.
21st November: RIP - Rust in Peace
I knew I had a chance to grab a shot before the rains came, but inspiration was not with me today, until I noticed a big pile of rusting boat chains near the lifeboat station. I explained to an old timer nearby I was not mad (maybe he wasn't convinced), just taking shots for my project. He explained that these chains would end up as weights at the bottom of the sea, RIP!
Curves, levels adjustments in Photoshop and Color Stylizer used to give it the rusty contrast.
