Portland is known as a Bike friend city. This rusted bike sits along the Willamette River shore. Not sure if it was submerged at one time, or is the victim of years of decay due only to it's proximity to the water's edge. Interesting.
Slightly rusted wood cutters and other agricultural tools, antique license plates, vintage sconces, and charcoal starters that have been converted into pendant lamps decorate the space.

in and around the ground of kirklinton hall, an empty husk of a stately home from the 1600's. a great location and I was privileged to meet the current ownner who plans to restore it to its former glory.
I hope these four look thematically good together and work as a teaser for the shots of the hall to follow.
Mausoleum of communist leaders.. You can still see the tag, that was painted on the tomb a few weeks ago: "Murder and traitor.."
The grave of former communist dictator, Kádár János, was robbed by unknown people. The skull and some other bones of Kádár was taken away..
ODC Rust
Our slowly-decaying old goat shed at the woods just has the most amazing combinations of rust, holes and algae. It is astonishingly beautiful in detail, although really quite an eyesore when you have to look at all of it.
Week#237 - Unexpected Beauty.
I only had my phone with me when travelling through Cambridge yesterday hence the pixilation on the rainbow. I was picking up ginko biloba leaves for another assignment below the tree when I looked up and saw the perfect shot for this weeks Dash Challenge. There is an element of rust and a beautiful rainbow to fit.
A few signs of Fall caught in one of our side fences! :) You can see mostly green beyond, though! Perfect humidity and temps just now and not the sweltering we are accustomed to! :)

This morning's topic for Our Daily Challenge is 'Rust & Rot.' I had to laugh at myself for joyfully thinking, "Oh good, I know where that rusting bulldozer is!" It still works. My landlord uses it. Its down at the bottom of the field that Wiki Kitty and I walk most days together.
