Boronia Rust on Euodia

Some sink, I liked how the photo came out.

Next we went to Bembridge, had an ice cream then took a wander along the beach.

This is one of my favorite out of the ones I edited in Photoshop. I applied the "Freaky Detail Effect", and then I also adjusted multiple color ranges. Taken in Hagerstown, MD.

A more poetic title than "the junk in my backyard that serves no purpose, which I should get rid of, but is useful for testing camera rangefinder focus."

First test shot, Meridain 4x5 after adjusting rangefinder.

This photo serves to demonstrate to me how the UK, and British Rail in particular, have fallen from glory in the railway stakes

I guess anything goes at the Rust Revival.

The wrecked ship that can be seen on this other photo, seen from the very rusty pier.

More of the rusting frame. What you can't see is that along with the surface rust (which happens where they salt the roads) is the penetrating corrosion putting holes in the frame.

Photos taken with my phone, sorry for the quality.

You can't beat the orange rust against the blue, green and white Summer colours! --- Yell, Shetland (Jun 2008).

As described, this lens took a plunge in a French river. Just 1 or 2 seconds in the water was of course enough to ruin it. After 20+ years of storage in the basement, I undertook to disassemble it. One of the most magnificent parts was this rusted (but still working !!) diaphragm.

Rust, Locks, Cracks, Rot, Dirt and Mud. Beautiful Simplicitiy.

A few of the rusted relics at Gammons Gulch

Gammons Gulch is a reconstructed old western town created by Jay Gammons. It is a mix of 1880’s to 1930’s early America. The town has been used in movies, commercials and music videos. The movie set has a large collection of antiques, old cars and movie memorabilia. You can get a guided tour of this little town. Jay will tell you the history of just about every item he has collected over the years while creating the town.

Although rust can be so destructive, i love the colours and textures it can create. This is an old chain which gets covered by the tide.

This barn, windmill and other buildings all sport rusty roofs. Located near the Cedar River in Iowa, this property was underwater in the summer of 2008 when the Cedar flooded.
