The Bristlecone Pine Scenic Area lies just below treeline on Mt. Bross and is a favorite location for photographers, artists, and those that just love hiking and taking in the views. Bristlecone Pines are native to the Rocky Mountains and are thousands of years old. For a driving adventure, take a drive up Buckskin Gulch all the way to Kite Lake, past rements of the mining days, such as the arastra, Paris Mill and visible high on the bluffs overlooking Buckskin Creek, the Hungry Five Mine with buildings still clinging to the sheer rock. For a relaxing change of pace try fly-fishing on the Middle Fork of the South Platte River or angling on the shore at Montgomery Reservoir.

During a stroll in the wood it's possible to get a glimpse of some rustic structure immersed in a fog of low clouds. This scenary creates an evocative and at the same time spooky atmosphere.

This is one of my Favorite pics from our trip to the farm in Coorow! My Uncle and Aunty took us to Liebe's old shed (on their property) which also had a house attached. The house was very beaten as you can tell by the kitchen door but it just seeped history! Even better with the stories coming from my Uncle who has lived on this Farm his whole life!
