This was made for somebody that wanted them looking primitive and rustic. They were made out of window trim & flashing from a house remodel they were doing.
These images were made during a journey down Rustic Road 74 in Florence County on June 21, 2017.
Located within the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, R-74, a gravel route, passes the former Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Camp Newald which operated from 1933–1942, and crosses the Popple River, a designated Wisconsin “Wild River.”
Wisconsin's Rustic Roads system was created to preserve many of the state's scenic, lightly traveled country roads. Features of Rustic Roads include rugged terrain, native vegetation and wildlife, or open areas with agricultural vistas.

R-59 is a lightly traveled Northwoods wilderness road. Sutton Road, with a narrow roadbed of gravel and sand, travels through hardwood and pine forest.

Having just moved to Phoenix, I found it hard to create a winterland here. But with a great group of artists (and most of all the stylist -Whitney Alexandra), my concept came to life! Had a lot fun using natural light and exploring the spots around the park :)

These images were made during a journey down Rustic Road 32 in Marinette County on June 24, 2017.
R-32, Wisconsin’s longest rustic road, offers a 37-mile journey through several county parks and the Peshtigo River State Forest. The route features multiple species of hardwoods and conifers, along with numerous granite boulders and outcroppings. R-32 also offers vistas of the Thunder and Peshtigo rivers.

Years ago, an elaborate set was made for the movie "The Alamo" starring John Wayne. This set still stands and, since then, has been used for various movies about the Alamo and Texas. When not being used for movies, Alamo Village near Del Rio, Texas, is open to visitors.

I came across this little stream today. It's called Tubbs springs. Most of it is privately owned with barbed wire and fencing along it, but I came up to a bridge that crossed it and took a picture there.
