42/366: Rustic Falls
I found this small, yet beautiful waterfall on my hike the other day around Rustic Timbers. I’ve decided to name it ‘Rustic Falls’ as it has a rustic feel with the oranging of the rocks and the bright green of the moss and the warmness of the sun. Have you seen this waterfall?

This is a Rustic Sphinx Moth that I found on my back porch. It is common for my area and likes the honeysuckle I think.

On this evening there was another Rustic Sphinx Moth feeding on nectar. On this occasion it was feeding on honeysuckle. Later it went to this lantana and enjoyed its nectar as well.

R-58 skirts scenic Northwoods’ lakes while wandering through thick pine and hardwood forests. This route crosses a railroad bed used in the 1800s as a main line to Minocqua. It has been converted to the Bearskin State Trail for hiking and bicycling. This route intersects with the Tomahawk River and two small creeks, through cedar lowlands and dense pine and hardwood forests.

I threw this bench together in one hour. It is perfect for an outdoor garden or rooftop. I wanted to preserve its industrial look by maintaining the pallet markings and imperfections. I was able to do so while also sanding down the surface for a smooth, splinter-free finish. Very sturdy and durable for all weather conditions!
