These images were made during a journey down Rustic Road 74 in Florence County on June 21, 2017.
Located within the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, R-74, a gravel route, passes the former Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) Camp Newald which operated from 1933–1942, and crosses the Popple River, a designated Wisconsin “Wild River.”

I made a little blooper with this picture... This bench is by the sea side and sea salt got on my digital camera making the lens cover difficult to open. I didn't notice it at the time but I think it came out looking cool. As Bob Ross (artist on the show Joy of Painting)says, "There are no mistakes, just happy accidents." ^_~

I loved this galette the best! I previously made fresh strawberry and peach galette but thought the apple was better. You can really choose to make it with any fruit you like, sort of like the clafoutis. I love the rustic look of the Sango dish with the rustic dessert on it. The melamine bowls are an anniversary gift from my mother-in-law and they have come in so handy. Everyone who knows me, knows that I love flowers, especially roses.
