Assignment 1 C - Everyday subject
Abandoned, old and rustic bulding. This photo isn't super sharp or bright, but I like the feeling in it. Shadows on the windows, clear sky, worn out colors and the bird feeder on the window.. It has the feeling of autumn!
In this image I used spot metering and automatic white balance.
These images were made during a journey down Rustic Road 109 in Oconto County on June 25, 2017.
R-109 is referred to by some local residents as “Wisconsin’s Everglades” because the road runs through a large complex
of coastal wetlands that ultimately connect to the Oconto Marsh.
Wisconsin's Rustic Roads system was created to preserve many of the state's scenic, lightly traveled country roads. Features of Rustic Roads include rugged terrain, native vegetation and wildlife, or open areas with agricultural vistas.

The Rustic Overtones perform at a WCYY Patio Show in Portland, Maine. The Overtones reunited after five years of being apart.

R-32, Wisconsin’s longest rustic road, offers a 37-mile journey through several county parks and the Peshtigo River State Forest. The route features multiple species of hardwoods and conifers, along with numerous granite boulders and outcroppings. R-32 also offers vistas of the Thunder and Peshtigo rivers.

Rustic sign at steps to Reservoir #1 in Highland Park, Pittsburgh, PA. Overgrown shrubs covering two plaques on the wall were later removed.

San Marcos, Lake Atitlán eco-hotel. The room was homey and lodge-like (the bed frames were tree trunks), and there were crazy paintings all over the place. I had a really hard time falling asleep that night because there were 3 huge black spiders on the ceiling right above my head. Well, the night did only costs us $5.

R-60 winds through the Northern Highland/American Legion State Forest, with canopies of coniferous and hardwood trees. R-60 passes near old logging camp sites and hiking trails, and offers vistas of numerous, clear Northwoods lakes and dense forestland.

I made a little blooper with this picture... This bench is by the sea side and sea salt got on my digital camera making the lens cover difficult to open. I didn't notice it at the time but I think it came out looking cool. As Bob Ross (artist on the show Joy of Painting)says, "There are no mistakes, just happy accidents." ^_~
