Wisconsin has a series of Rustic Roads, some featuring hand-painted signs like these. They're usually County or local roads, and may or may not hace paved surfaces.
Rustic buses are old artisan modified buses used in rural Colombia and Ecuador where they are known as chivas (kid goats) or escaleras (ladders). They are used as public transport and more recently used as party buses in both countries. These are varied but characterized for being painted colorfully (usually with the yellow, blue, and red colors of the flags of Ecuador and Colombia) with local arabesques and figures. Most have a ladder to the rack on the roof which is also used for carrying people, livestock and merchandise.
They are built upon a bus chassis with a modified body made out either metal or wood. Seats are bench alike, made out of wood and with doors instead of windows. The owner or driver usually gives the vehicle a unique nickname.
the cow silhouette wedding cake revisited -- this time, in colors to coordinate with the topper they selected and with some piped ribbon roses to also match those on the topper.
While I was driving to work this morning I was thinking about the scavenger hunt. I am surrounded by rustic places but have not had the time to seek out a rustic gate. Then I noticed this big truck had pulled right in front of me! Normally I get annoyed when that happens, but not this time! Not sure if this moving gate qualifies as "rustic" but it sure is different! ;-)

The most rustic looking part of our house. Wood beams on the ceiling, awful dark wood paneling, rough hewn wood around the window, stone fireplace. All I need now is a moose head and I could open a lodge.
Entirely hand forged from virgin 5160 steel and deferentially tempered. My knives have a tough spine and harder edges. My blades have very thick wide tangs that have been drawn out and forged from the mother blade steel. The full cross sections and profiles of my knives are accomplished at the anvil by forging. Any stock removal is extremely minimal and only serves for finishing and sharpening.
Owning one of my blades means you will take great pride in knowing that it is the only one in the world. I may forge others in similar style and dimension but no two will ever be the same. Hand forging is an extremely difficult and labor intensive art form that produces stunningly beautiful, unique and superior edged weapons. In today’s world of mass CNC machining and cheap investment casting, high quality hand made original works are becoming extremely difficult to find. I forge every edged weapon as if it were my very own to carry into battle. It gives me great satisfaction to think that long after I am gone, my blades will proudly be displayed in silent testimony to my passion for this art form. Please study my feedback and be extremely confident that this item will meet or even exceed your expectations. SEE WHAT THIS SWORD LOOKS LIKE IN HAND BY SEARCHING SAXONFORGE ON YOU TUBE.
