We stopped for lunch at this lovely spot about 2 hours north of Gympie. I think there is something charming about old rusting machinery.
Standing proudly atop a prominent hill, the Kymin overlooks Monmouth and the beautiful Wye Valley.
The Kymin is also home to the unusual Naval Temple, which is where theses steps lead. Built by public subscription in 1800, it celebrates some of the greatest British admirals and victories of the time.

An old abandoned house in Southern Middle Tennessee somehow remains standing to experience the end of another day.
The image shows the contrasts in the textures,the scorched and weathered wood, the stone and the drought tolerant plants.
This rustic table was at a small store on an Indian reservation in southern AZ on the way to Organ Pipe National Monument. Great tacos.

I live in a rural area of Finger Lakes. This is the rustic arbor and bench that my friend Liam built for me a year ago this month. It's made of Black Locust wood. It's extremely sturdy and the plant growing up it is a Hardy Kiwi. It hasn't produced any fruit, but we are hoping for some in 2021.

After hiking down to Vernazza from Monterosso, I made my way down to a relatively open public courtyard. With the sea to my back, a small chapel and some cafes to my left, and residences to my right, I sat with my water and admired the contrast of colors in the scene around me and the architecture of the ligurian homes.
