Traditional faroese boat house. I used long exposure to get the sky smooth, but I in order to get the grass right, I had to take another shot and combine the two. Is that cheating?

Lijiang, China
The ancient town of Lijiang used to a major transportation hub on what was known as the Ancient Tea Horse Trail - a 4,000km passageway that winding through the mountainous regions of southwest China and into Tibet. Today it’s a premier tourist attraction, and you can see why.
This beautiful old town is a maze of twisty lanes, criss-crossed by small canals and bridges, with hundreds upon hundreds of ancient houses scattered and crammed in among them. Many of the guesthouses and cafes offer glorious views of the surrounding rooftops and the nearby mountains, which form the border between China and Tibet.
Taken in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. The small tower in the foreground is called a "mirador". Sort of a lookout spot or a widow's walk.
