You can tell the art students are back when things like this start to appear on the wall.

Homage to Banksy seen on a passageway from Gertrude Road into Gilman Road.

On 8th August 1963 a gang of robbers carried out what was then Britain's most daring heist, netting £2.6 million, then our most high value robbery. The train, a mail train, was stopped above this bridge near Mentmore in Buckinghamshire where the deed was carried out, and money and valuables was ferried from the train to waiting vehicles on this road. To this day most of the money stolen has not been found.

The bridge, Bridge 127, also known as the Bridgego Railway bridge, is much as it was 48 years 1 month and 1 day ago! Yes the line above has been electrified and there are works on adjacent land, but this scene was pretty much how it was way back then.

This person stood and watched while the train was robbed...not sure where they came from, or why they stood there the entire time...

A coalition of campaign groups gathered on 16th Feb 2013 at the Dept for Energy and Climate Change on Whitehall, London, to protest against fuel price rises and proposed cuts in Winter Fuel Payments which is already contributing to extreme fuel poverty and deaths by hypothermia amongst disabled benefit claimants, pensioners and those already in poverty.

Groups represented were UK Uncut, Disabled People Against Cuts (DPAC), WinVisible, Greater London Pensioner's Association, Global Women's Strike and All African Women's Association.

The protesters set up a blockade across one carriageway of Whitehall, disrupting traffic for over an hour before peacefully dispersing.

Ironically the occupier of The (former) Bank Of Ireland Building in Belfast saw me coming, ducked inside, covered his face and then re-appeared to pose for the shot - Which is more than most of the faceless banking decision makers, who occupy the current bank buildings, are willing to do for the customers that they are supposed to value so much.

London, ON

Just a random photo. Nothing special but I wanted to put it up.

This was taken right after a series of bank robberies in London. This is how it ended. The guy crashed into someone on Waterloo. I just happened to be walking downtown at the time and had my camera. I was running late so I couldn't get closer and take a photo, so this is all I got. If you look close, the most left person of the group on the right of the image is none other than Craig Glover of the Free Press. He was one of my professors at Fanshawe last year.

While the owners are away on vacation, canny burglars like Arielle and Lynsey can swoop…

Here's a photo of a photo I picked up from an artist at the Portabello Rd. markets in London.

I don't know where this is shot, exactly, but I've been told that the apartments in the background were once ahead of their time in terms of layout and ergonomics. (They look rather hideous to me...)

This man had been arrested for robbery. When he saw that a photographer was present he decided to show me where he had hidden the money. When I brought it to the attention of the deputys, they quickly removed the money from his mouth.

As we biked up to this village these two boys ran over and held bamboo rods across the path. They wouldn't say anything, but wouldn't let us continue. We had decided to just turn around, when their mom came out. She offered us some pillowcases and some blankets, but we declined. After that - and some oohing at our rented mountain bikes - we continued through the village.

This morning, officers executed four arrest warrants at addresses on Derbyshire Avenue in Stretford, resulting in five arrests.

At the first address, a 16‑year‑old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs, as well as an unrelated robbery offence.

At the second address, a 39‑year‑old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.

At the third address, two men, aged 28 and 61and a 59‑year‑old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs.

No drugs were located at the fourth address; however, a mobile phone was seized as part of the ongoing investigation.

These warrants were executed following a proactive investigation led by Trafford North’s Neighbourhood Team into drug supply linked to Derbyshire Avenue.

The team remains committed to tackling drug dealing and associated criminality across the Trafford area.

Intelligence from the local community played a vital role. Based on this information, officers believed the four addresses were connected to the supply of controlled substances.

Collaboration was key to the success of this operation. The Neighbourhood Team worked alongside the Tactical Dog Unit, the Drone Unit, our Challenger Team, and the Regional Organised Crime Unit, ensuring a coordinated and robust approach.

upon entry, officers recovered cannabis at three properties, secured multiple arrests, and seized a quantity of white powder - believed to be cocaine - which has been sent for forensic testing.

All five suspects remain in custody for further questioning.

Inspector Jamie Jeffries, from the Trafford North Neighbourhood Team said: “Executing four warrants at the same time on the same street is a significant undertaking and reflects the seriousness of the intelligence we received.

“This level of coordinated action demands careful planning and considerable resources, and it shows our determination to disrupt drug networks operating in Trafford.

“Thanks to crucial information from the public, our Trafford North Neighbourhood Team was able to act decisively against addresses suspected of working together in drug supply.

“Conducting multiple warrants in one operation sends a clear message: if you choose to deal drugs, we will gather the evidence and take robust, swift action.

“We remain firmly committed to keeping Trafford safe, and I encourage anyone with concerns to keep coming forward — community intelligence directly drives operations like today’s.
