This morning, officers executed four arrest warrants at addresses on Derbyshire Avenue in Stretford, resulting in five arrests.
At the first address, a 16‑year‑old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs, as well as an unrelated robbery offence.
At the second address, a 39‑year‑old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs.
At the third address, two men, aged 28 and 61and a 59‑year‑old woman were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs.
No drugs were located at the fourth address; however, a mobile phone was seized as part of the ongoing investigation.
These warrants were executed following a proactive investigation led by Trafford North’s Neighbourhood Team into drug supply linked to Derbyshire Avenue.
The team remains committed to tackling drug dealing and associated criminality across the Trafford area.
Intelligence from the local community played a vital role. Based on this information, officers believed the four addresses were connected to the supply of controlled substances.
Collaboration was key to the success of this operation. The Neighbourhood Team worked alongside the Tactical Dog Unit, the Drone Unit, our Challenger Team, and the Regional Organised Crime Unit, ensuring a coordinated and robust approach.
upon entry, officers recovered cannabis at three properties, secured multiple arrests, and seized a quantity of white powder - believed to be cocaine - which has been sent for forensic testing.
All five suspects remain in custody for further questioning.
Inspector Jamie Jeffries, from the Trafford North Neighbourhood Team said: “Executing four warrants at the same time on the same street is a significant undertaking and reflects the seriousness of the intelligence we received.
“This level of coordinated action demands careful planning and considerable resources, and it shows our determination to disrupt drug networks operating in Trafford.
“Thanks to crucial information from the public, our Trafford North Neighbourhood Team was able to act decisively against addresses suspected of working together in drug supply.
“Conducting multiple warrants in one operation sends a clear message: if you choose to deal drugs, we will gather the evidence and take robust, swift action.
“We remain firmly committed to keeping Trafford safe, and I encourage anyone with concerns to keep coming forward — community intelligence directly drives operations like today’s.

There was an attempted robbery with a pellet gun on Anawana Lake Road in Monticello, Wednesday night.
Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty tells YWN Catskills, that two Orthodox women were walking on Anawana Lake Road near Walmart around 10:30PM, when they heard a noise behind them. Before they were able to turn around, one of them felt someone grabbing her pocketbook. They then witnessed a female perpetrator armed with a gun, and struggling to get the pocketbook.
In the struggle, the gun fell to the floor, and the perpetrator fled on foot towards WalMart, where she was seen getting into a small car.
Thankfully, no one was hurt – including their children who were walking with them at the time – and nothing was stolen.
The Sheriff Department responded along with Catskills Hatzolah. Chaboty tells YWN Catskills that the gun used is a pellet gun.
Deputies are investigating the incident, and are looking for a white female with brown hair and a ponytail, wearing a blue jacket with a zipper on the front.
If you have any further information that can assist this investigation, please contact the Sullivan County Sheriff Department.

The City of Sandy Springs held a special ceremony to retire K-9 officer “Amos” on August 18th at the regularly held City Council meeting The drug and patrol dog is retiring for health reasons. Also at the meeting, the Police Department will be welcoming their newest addition, K-9 officer, “Seven.”
Amos has a much heralded career of patrolling and taking drugs of the street. In his three-year career, he and handler K-9 Officer Michael DeWald have taken $3.7 million worth of cocaine, methamphetamines, marijuana and heroin; 50 handguns; multiple vehicles; and $300,000 in bulk US currency off the streets.
As the first Sandy Springs K-9 Officer, Amos has also had many notable arrests: He tracked and located property belonging to a Councilmember and found the suspect who broke into her home; he apprehended an armed robbery and aggravated assault suspect after a shoot out on GA 400; and he sniffed out a hidden compartment in a car that led to Cobb County’s largest methamphetamine Super Lab arrests.
So I have my first prom tomorrow night. I should be excited...right? I was. But now I can't be. My daddy drove three hours to come see my little sister for her 8th grade graduation. (He may not live with us but he is very much a part of our lives) During the ceremony I had a saddening thought. My father won't be able to see his oldest daughter get all dressed up for her first prom. He won't be able to greet my boyfriend at the door with his rifle and give him the traditional warning a southern father gives. He won't be able to look at me while I wait on my date and assure me that I look absolutely beautiful. And this all breaks my heart. Because he's my daddy and I love him more than anyone else in the world and this is a huge milestone that we're both going to miss. A precious memory that will never be made. The entire time I've been writing this I have been sobbing uncontrollably listening to the song Cinderella and it makes me cry even more because it's about a father dancing with his daughter because he knows every moment is precious and that "all too soon the clock will strike midnight and she'll be gone". Yes, I am in fact in my feelings and I believe I have a right to be. And all of this because a stupid mistake 13 years ago has robbed us of very possible moment we could have had together. Ladies, if you have your father with you, be thankful. You may think he's too strict sometimes or you may think he's lame or too attached, but embrace it. Embrace every moment you have with that man because all too soon the clock will strike midnight and your time will be gone.
As entrelinhas desta 'fita'?
There was no public transport possible tonight, because of a robbery nearby Waterloo Square. I had to walk home and I'm glad I did.

The west’s first train robbery occurred near this site on the night of November 4, 1870. Five men, led by a stage robber-Sunday school superintendent, John Chapman, boarded the Central Pacific Overland Express at Verdi, Nevada. Two took over the engine, one the express car, and two the rear platform. One half mile east, the engine and express car were halted and cut free, then proceeded about five miles where they were stopped by a barricade. Here the robbers forced the messenger to open up, seizing $41,600 in gold coin, they road off. The unoccupied cars coasted down grade and met the engine. The train proceeded to Reno. After a two state chase all were caught, tried and convicted. About ninety percent of the gold was recovered.
Attempted robbery, turned deadly in Downtown Yakima on March 26th, when two Moneytree employees were shot to death as they showed up for work.
A suspect armed with a handgun robbed a man of his cell phone and wallet near City Hall at about 1:15 a.m. this morning. The victim was not injured and the suspect is at large.
On Monday, July 14, 2014, at about 1:27 a.m., our 24-hour dispatch center received a call of an armed robbery that had occurred within the past 10 minutes in the 200 block of Hamilton Avenue. The victim, a man in his forties, had gone to an open business in the 400 block of Emerson Street in order to call police. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
The investigation revealed that the man had been walking eastbound on the north sidewalk of the 200 block of Hamilton Avenue when he was approached from behind by the suspect. The suspect called out to the victim and demanded his cell phone and wallet. When the victim turned around, he saw that the suspect was holding a black semi-automatic handgun. The suspect had the weapon pointed at the ground, and pulled back the slide on the gun as if to load a round when the victim did not immediately comply with the demand. The victim then handed over his cell phone and wallet, and the suspect ordered the victim to walk away eastbound on Hamilton Avenue. When the victim eventually looked back to see if he could still see the robber, the suspect was gone.
The victim described the suspect as an unknown race light-skinned male, about 30 years old. He was 5 feet 10 inches tall, and about 175 pounds with a medium build. He was wearing a dark-colored beanie, a dark long-sleeve shirt, and dark pants. He was also wearing dark sunglasses at the time of the crime. The victim did not see or hear a vehicle associated with the suspect. A police artist met with the victim and produced the attached sketch of the suspect.
Detectives are actively investigating this case, which is the first armed robbery in Palo Alto in more than three months. The Menlo Park Police Department investigated a similar armed robbery at about 6:40 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2014, on Gilbert Avenue near Pope Street (less than two miles from this robbery). In that case, a white male suspect dressed in manner similar to our suspect, and also armed with a semi-automatic pistol, robbed two teens of their cell phones and wallets. Detectives from the two agencies are collaborating on the cases to determine if the same suspect is responsible. For more information about the Menlo Park case, contact Nicole Acker of the Menlo Park Police Department at 650-330-6325.
