The Spirit Food Mart in Glade Spring was robbed Wednesday afternoon. Located behind the store is Glade Spring Middle School.
Janis Joplin was right. Yesterday morning it was $2.939 per gallon at most neighborhood dealers. The place across the road has just upped theirs to $3.159. Lord knows what the next tank will cost.

Lesson to gas thieves: if you would have just put the gas cap back and closed the little door, I probably wouldn't have even noticed that any gas was gone and you could have gotten more at a later date. Now I've got a locking gas cap, so up yours, stupid.

"On Saturday, January 18, 2025, at approximately 3:50 p.m., Niagara Regional Police Service (NRPS) uniform officers in 8 District (Grimsby/Lincoln/West Lincoln) responded to Harmony Jewellers located at 37 Main Street West in the Town of Grimsby for a robbery that had just occurred.
Initial investigation determined that six suspects attended the front entrance of Harmony Jewellers. The suspects smashed the front entrance door with small sledgehammers and gained entry to the store. The suspects then used the small sledgehammers to smash several display cases. The suspects then proceeded to remove jewellery from the cases. The suspects then exited the store and fled in a vehicle toward Mountain Street."
