I was robbed on Treasure Island, San Francisco at dusk on 9/27. My camera, lens and tripod, all gone. Please be careful everyone! It's so terrible around the Bay Area recently. Be sure if you are safe while you are photographing.
This image was taken with cell phone when I was waiting for the police; spot location is looking southwest to the Bay Bridge and downtown of San Francisco from Yerba Buena Island.
9/27 傍晚我在舊金山金銀島的路邊被搶劫了，當我專注於拍照之際，人被推倒於地，相機瞬間被搶走，包含相機、鏡頭、濾鏡與三腳架，前後僅只 3、4 秒鐘而已。大家請注意安全，出門拍照千萬別一個人落單獨行，舊金山灣區最近搶風非常非常猖狂。

Well, after experiencing a robbery from nearby - when we were visiting the TEFAF art fair (I saw the discarded sledgehammer left by the four robbers as they were fleeing) - I walked on the Sint-Pietersberg at Maastricht. Wonderful place, of course. Here's a view of the so-called Oehoevallei, Eagle Owl Valey. Those raptorial birds (=robbers) reside especially in the caves to the left. As I was admiring the view, another Robber of sorts, a Sicus ferrugineus, landed on a Scabious right next to me.
A day with three Robbers! What could be next!?

BILLY MINER:
Ezra Allen Miner (circa 1847 – September 2, 1913), more popularly known as Bill Miner.
Billy Miner was a infamous train robber.
It is believed that he staged British Columbia's first-ever train robbery on September 10, 1904 at Silverdale about 35 km east of Vancouver, just west of Mission City. It is often claimed that Miner was the robber, but neither he nor his accomplices were ever tied conclusively to the Silverdale heist. It is also widely reported that Silverdale's train robbery was the first in Canada.

What you see here is 2 beewolfs and a captured honey bee. The bee wolf that you clearly see is trying to snatch the honey bee in mid flight from the other bee wolf on the bottom.This all happened in a split second so I was very excited that I caught this moment.

where the old road climbed a steep rise towards the rock outcrop in the middle of this place Gardiner's gang forced two dray drivers to block the road with their carts. As the gold escort coach slowed to make the grade it was then blocked by the drays and the gang opened fire with rifles and pistols. The coach overturned, its escort were either incapacitated by gunshots or fled into the bush. The ruffians then looted the gold and currency and fled the scene with over a million dollars worth of loot [in todays terms]

On Saturday morning I arrived early at Thickson's Woods in Whitby, Ontario in search of a Cerulean Warbler that was reported the day earlier. As I was entering the park I saw this male Baltimore Oriole robbing Spidey's food store in broad daylight. Interestingly someone setup half of an orange for the Orioles. This one seemed to ignore the orange and went for some protein diet. I didn't think that the Spidey stuck around for a confrontation that he knew couldn't win. By the way, no luck with the Cerulean, it left overnight to continue with his northward migration.
