You don't want to see Maleficent when she gets MAD. It's a bit inhuman to say the least.

This photo was taken during Fantasmic! - and I don't mean to take sides here, but Disneyland's Fantasmic! has to be the BEST night time show out there, still, at 20 years of age. Sure an element here and there is certainly showing it's age (Pinocchio?) but with moments like this one, the show is simply unparalleled by any other show or version out there.

Even when I snag a candid, Mary always looks wonderful.

The Dragon, just after the Rivers of America have been set on fire during Fantasmic!

Peter Pan Ahoy! Mateys! Do you like Fantasmic? Do you like the Disney World version, or the Disneyland version better? In my opinion, Disneyland is better for one reason: the Columbia - sure I haven't seen Tokyo's version, but I know it doesn't have the Columbia, Murphy, or the Mark Twain. Fantasmic was designed FOR Disneyland, and it incorporated existing infrastructure from the park - infrastructure that for Disney World would have been too expensive. It shows.

A comment is worth more than 10 favorites, constructive criticism (no matter how brutal) is worth more than 100.

Sometimes Mark Twain is mucking up the river, and it's awesome. Othertimes, there's a quiet still calm that's simply enchanting!

I have such a bad habit of rushing into things and not changing my aperture setting for wider shots. Such a noob.

Anyway, I just got Lightroom back (and finally with a serial number huray! No more trials!) and have been playing around with it. I love the shadow and highlight recovery. It really let me bring this photo out as something post-able rather than bin-able (making up words as and when needed).

I took a few shots of the Mark Twain after the storm broke on 12/7/09. If you get a chance, check out the "view on black" option below as you pick up quite a bit more detail.

Oh to be a duck. But... to be a duck at Disneyland, now that is the life. Relaxing on the Rivers of America, waiting for tourists and AP locals to throw some food your way. Yes my friends, that is the life of a...

The Rivers of America hold not only the Sailing Ship Columbia but the Mark Twain and the canoes which can only be found at Disneyland in the U.S..

The Mark Twain maneuvers the narrow passage between Tom Sawyer’s island and main land Disneyland on a crisp clear morning. Its these backwaters and far end of the island that are slated to change beginning in January. This peaceful view may be gone forever soon. While I am excited to see what Star Wars Land will be, I’m saddened by the likely loss of this part of the river.

Another shot of one of the wild birds found throughout Walt Disney World. This Great Egret is normally found along the Rivers of America in the Magic Kingdom's Frontierland.

The Great Egret is a large bird with all-white plumage that can reach one meter in height, weigh up to 950 grams (2.1 lb) and a wingspan of 165 to 215 cm. It is thus only slightly smaller than the Great Blue or Grey Heron (A. cinerea). Apart from size, the Great Egret can be distinguished from other white egrets by its yellow bill and black legs and feet, though the bill may become darker and the lower legs lighter in the breeding season. In breeding plumage, delicate ornamental feathers are borne on the back. Males and females are identical in appearance; juveniles look like non-breeding adults. It is a common species, usually easily seen. It has a slow flight, with its neck retracted. This is characteristic of herons and bitterns, and distinguishes them from storks, cranes, ibises, and spoonbills, which extend their necks in flight.

The Great Egret is not normally a vocal bird; at breeding colonies, however, it often gives a loud croaking cuk cuk cuk.
