After a whole summer campaign featuring the dragon (known as both Maleficent and Murphy...but, I call her Maleficent), Maleficent FINALLY makes her first appearance. It was absolutely magical as the crowd was stoked and the excitement was palpable!
Some of my fondest memories are of the canoe rides at Disneyland. I remember those hot summer days, grandma and I would race down the dock to the water and hop in the closest canoe. She'd sit in front of me, I behind her holding a long stick with a beer hanging on a string to dangle in front of her. Row grandma, Row! I'd yell and with her bloodshot eyes wide open and a little drool coming from the side of her mouth, we'd blast off fast enough to pull water skiers behind us.
