Bulbarrow Hill is probably the best known hill in Dorset and is a chalk hill site of an Iron Age hill fort - the name comes from barrows or burial mounds on the hill. Standing at 274m (899ft) high and giving the longest view in Dorset.

A quite large dildo that is beyond the point of self-retrieval, in the rectum and sigmoid of a patient.
These cases are more frequent than you might imagine. Many of these patients will state that "they fell on it", or use some accidental method of rectal penetration as an explanation for why they are in the ER. Some even go so far as to say things such as: "I was attacked by a group of men who did this to me." Nearly all of these types of cases are patients who were trying to achieve or enhance sexual gratification through anal and rectal stimulation. What I do appreciate though, are the patients who are in this situation and just get brutally honest. "I was getting off on this thing in my ass and it went too deep." It's not that I don't respect the people that make excuses. I can't even imagine the horrific embarrassment of having to go to the ER to have a 'still vibrating' dildo removed from your rectum. Definitely a very personal thing, no matter who you are, and many would be too mortified to tell the truth to strangers. It's just that every now and then, someone comes in and says: "I love these things in my ass. I got one stuck and I can't get it out, will you help me?"
I respect that kind of honesty.

I have just returned home from a trip to Canada where it was cold and snowy. I have yet to put my boots away, but my dog Hester seems to have taken a shine to them. This was shot with my PENTAX K-1 and PENTAX D-FA 100mm f/2.8 Macro WR lens. The shot was developed using DxO PhotoLab 1.0.2. The result was stylised using ON1 Photo RAW 2017. Finally, a few unwanted artefacts were removed using Affinity Photo where a slight vignette was also applied.

Paddy dearly loves anything he can chase ... with permission. The bestest is the BALL, however retrieval is not a journey to be undertaken lightly if Auntie Elk is also playing as the latter does ball retrieval on a professional scale .. ie she'll foul if she's out of sight of the referee! So the antics i get up to are fun in managing to dupe Auntie Elk to go one way and send Paddy off in the direction of the ball, I could just put a lead on Elk .. but Paddy likes a bit of added spice as it makes getting it and outrunning Elk all the more fun!!

*Manual Restore*
Have you ever accidentally deleted a memory card before getting the photos off? I have…once. It was about two years ago. I was out camping and headed out one evening for some shots. I took some long exposures of a nearby river, stream, and forest. I was all over the place. A couple days later I was heading out for another shoot and I popped the same memory card in from my camping trip. I thought for sure I had downloaded them so I deleted them. Well, I hadn’t downloaded them. I guess I could have run a retrieval program but by the time I had realized it it was too late. I had already filled up the memory card with some new shots. Fast forward two years and I was back at the same campground last weekend. I remembered most of the shots I took so I was able to retake them. I guess it was a manual restore.
“Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus, whom heaven must receive until the time for restoring all the things about which God spoke by the mouth of his holy prophets long ago” – Acts 3:19-21

St. Julian's (Maltese: San Ġiljan) is a town in Malta situated along the coast, north of the country's capital, Valletta. It is known for tourism-oriented businesses, such as hotels, restaurants and nightclubs which are centred mainly in an area known as Paceville.
The town is subdivided into informal districts which are Paceville, Ta' Ġiorni, Tal-Għoqod, St Andrew's, as well as the regions surrounding St George's Bay, Spinola Bay, Balluta Bay, and Il-Qaliet cliffs.
St Julian's is a popular town, usually flowing with tourists, especially during the summer months. It is also a well-sought after destination by the Maltese.
The population of Saint Julian's is 10,261 people.
The town has only one skyscraper, the 98m tall Portomaso Tower.
The town is named after its patron saint; Saint Julian who is widely known as Julian the Hospitaller and Julian the Poor whereby he is the patron Saint of hunters. The town's flag is identical to the Belgian flag which has to do with the fact that it is thought that St Julian was Belgian (from Ath), despite the fact that it is disputed whether he was also from France (Le Mans) or Italy (Naples).
Before the reform to the Calendar of Saints, the memorial to St Julian was on January 27. Nowadays, the is celebrated on February 12, though in Malta an additional feast, in the spirit of the many summer feasts around the island, is celebrated on the last Sunday of August.

Typesetting: the retrieval of stored letters and the ordering of them according to a language's orthography for visual display.
During much of the letterpress era, movable type was composed by hand for each page.
Cast metal sorts were composited into words and lines of text and tightly bound together to make up a page image called a forme, with all letter faces exactly the same height to form an even surface of type. The forme was mounted in a press, inked, and an impression made on paper.

Located in the heart of the Rhône Valley, the Roman Theatre of Orange is without doubt one of the finest remnants of the Roman Empire. Exceptional evidence of Ancient Rome and part of the UNESCO World Heritage list, it is the best preserved theatre in Europe.
It owes its fame in particular to its magnificent stage wall, amazingly well-preserved and unique in the Western world. A venue for shows in Roman times, it continues in this role today, to the delight of music lovers the world over.
“The finest wall in my kingdom”. This was how Louis XIV described the imposing façade of the theatre, 103 metres long, 1.80 metres thick and 37 metres high
The exterior façade is divided into three levels. The first comprises three doors which open out onto the stage and secondary doors which open onto the corridors or rooms that do not have access to the interior. On the second level, the wall is bare of any decoration. You can see the stone corbels which supported the roof structure and a deep groove, the remains of the anchoring for the tiles on the roof.
A blind arcade on the wall embellishes the third level. With the exception of the central arch and the arches located in line with the basilicae (towers positioned each side of the stage), each has a cavity that lets light in to the passage located inside the wall. At the top, there are two rows of 43 corbels which supported the velum, a large canvas canopy that protected spectators from the sun and the rain.

Works For all the effort that went into the earlier focus stacked image I posed of this mushroom, it seems that a signal frame from the focus bracketed sequence works better, especially in monochrome. The lack of focus in certain areas accentuates other, sharper lines, while the lack of colour to distract the eye generally accentuates the texture. Shot using Panasonic LUMIX S1R fitted with a the 24-105mm f/4.0 standard zoom, stopped down to f/16. With a sensitivity of ISO 100, an exposure of 2s was needed for this shot. Panasonic S1R RAW developed using DxO PhotoLab 2 mono conversion performed using DxO NiK Silver Efex. F inal edits performed in Affinity Photo.

These are the cat toys for which my job is to “hide” them, so she can retrieve them when she wants. These were “hidden” in some of the less usual (but still not hard to find) places in the house: on top of filing cabinets in office and one on the “she doesn’t use it” cat bed on a little cabinet in the bedroom. They’ve been laying there at least a week.
I was out of the house for six hours this morning and found them in the front room. Now she wants out - guess I’ll let her out and “hide” them again. (done!) (hm maybe she is humoring ME so I don’t leave for “so long”?)By the way these toys are some of the PURRfect (tm) line of cat toys and are quite durable. "Old Yellow" used to have many more feathers, perhaps I should see what is now in stock for replacement. The twisted wire is part of the only toys she has played retrieval with (one such toy is now demised... she is after all quite the aged lady) so it must be a key part of the entertainment.
