Taken in Kew Gardens
Commissioned in 1982 to replace a group of 26 smaller buildings that were falling into disrepair. It was named after Princess Augusta, founder of Kew, and opened in 1987 by Diana, Princess of Wales. It is the most complex conservatory at Kew, containing ten computer-controlled climatic zones under one roof.
The two main climate zones are the ‘dry tropics’, representing the world’s warm, arid areas, and the ‘wet tropics’, housing moisture loving plants from ecosystems such as rainforests and mangrove swamps. The eight remaining microclimates include a seasonally dry zone containing desert and savanna plants, plus sections for carnivorous plants, ferns and orchids.
Whereas the Palm and Temperate Houses make grand statements with their designs, the low-lying, angular ‘glazed hill’ of the Princess of Wales house is less obtrusive. The conservatory was designed by architect Gordon Wilson to be energy-efficient and easy to maintain and was built partly underground.
The southern end is heated more by the sun than the northern end, so this is where visitors find towering spikes of echiums and silver agaves from dry tropical regions such as the arid Canary Islands. The central area contains an elevated aquaria, complete with waterlily pond and the dangling roots of mangroves, plus displays of orchids and carnivorous plants. At the northern end are species from the moist tropics, including banana, pineapple, pepper and ginger.

Kew Gardens (formally knowkn as the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew) consists of 121 hectares of gardens and glasshouses.
The gardens began as exotic gardens belonging to Lord Capel John of Tewkesbury in the latter half of the c17th. The gardens were extended and enlarged by Augusta, Dowager Princess of Wales (and mother of the future George III) who employed William Chambers to design various buildings. George III had William Aiton (1731-93) and Sir Joseph Banks (1743-1820) as directors of the botanical garden. The gardens were formally established as a national botanical garden in 1840.

This aircraft was delivered to BOC Aviation Leasing and leased to the easyJet Airline Company as G-EZJY in Jun-03. It was returned to BOC Aviation Leasing in Mar-10.
It was due to be leased to Jet Lite (India) but the lease was cancelled and instead it was leased to Turkish Airlines as TC-JKT in Apr-10. The aircraft was operated for Turkish Airlines by their 'low-cost' subsidiary AnadoluJet in full AnadoluJet livery.
The lease and operation was taken over by SunExpress Airlines (jointly owned by Turkish Airlines and Lufthansa) and re-registered TC-SAG in May-12 while the sub-lease to AnadoluJet continued.
The aircraft was returned to the lessor in Oct-14 and permanently retired at Lourdes, France and it was broken up there in late 2015.
Note: An in service life of just 11.5 years is nothing for a Boeing 737NG. I wonder what was wrong with it?
Bad capacitors from a Bell 9241 HD PVR. So far so good... no lockups yet.
The 1200uF aren't available from Sayal but was able to get them from Newark. I also then decided to get the 820uF from them also to have it all shipped at the same time plus they're made by Rubycon (which are considered the best out there), except Newark doesn't stock these in North America, so they had to get them from the UK if I recall. Arrived in the US on 9/1 and it's been stuck at US customs ever since, so picked up the 820uF made by Nichicon (they're okay, Panasonics would have been better) at Sayal.
So if you order anything from Newark and there's no stock in North America, look elsewhere!! And don't get capacitors made by Teapo.

Gutters are essential for a home because they draw water away from it, preventing erosion, rotting and moldy roofs and attics, and leaky basements. Gutters will wear down over time and ultimately need to be replaced. An important factor that affects the cost to replace gutters is the materials that make up the gutters. Here’s a breakdown of gutter replacement costs based on rain gutters and downspouts cleaning.
The most expensive gutters are copper gutters, with costs ranging from $40 to $100 per piece. While copper gutters function just as well as any other kind of gutter, most people really get them because of how good they look. The value of copper drives the price, and sometimes these gutters are a target for thieves who want to cash in on some easy metal. If you can afford to pay for beautiful copper gutters, then do so, but remember that copper gutters are prone to color changing as time passes.
Steel gutters aren’t the cheapest gutters you can find, but they’re still less expensive than copper gutters, with costs in the $11 to $33 range. These gutters are perfect for bad weather because of their strength and weight, giving them a longer life. Their effectiveness in moving water is the same as other gutters. Buying steel gutters will ensure that the next replacement or repair won’t need to happen for quite a while, as long as the house lasts.
Aluminum gutters are the second cheapest gutter type, with a cost range of $6 to $12. Aside from being cheap, they also have the advantage of being easy to install because of how lightweight they are. Being lightweight also counts as a disadvantage, because aluminum gutters take more damage and often need replacement or repair quicker than a stronger metal like steel. Still, they’re a pretty good deal, especially in areas where the weather isn’t so harsh.
Vinyl gutters have a price range of $4 to $8, making them the cheapest. These gutters don’t have a lot of durability or longevity, but they are decent in low-stress weather environments without much temperature change. Replacements will happen sooner, but given how much they cost, owners may not mind.
Material composition matters when it comes to the cost to replace gutters. Choose a gutter that is within your budget and strength requirements.

This courthouse replaced an ugly courthouse that I was told had horrible parking. The before mentioned "ugly" courthouse was originally a lovely 1922 Classical Revival structure that was remodeled in 1959. I believe that this one was built in 2006. It's not so bad for a Modern courthouse.
The town of Pryor is sometimes referred to as Pryor Creek. I believe that Google Maps still uses that name. The United States Postal Service recognizes the name Pryor.
Driver's side. It is impossible to see in there -- you have to do this by feel. Perhaps the photos will help. This is after the plug and gasket have been removed. The two wire "ears" then need to be pushed downward and outward to allow you to remove the bulb.

In 2002 property developer Mirvac promised home buyers at Waverley Park that the 220 kV transmission line through the middle of the estate would be placed underground. However due to escalating costs this plan was abandoned in 2015, with the traditional steel lattice towers being replaced with smaller steel monopole structures in 2018.

Replacing the robust, but dated, Star Interceptor, the Mark-II brings both cost-reduction and modernization to the Imperial fleet. Following a mandate to increase production of starfighters for the Magikstrate, Imperial engineers took the frame of the Star Interceptor and applied the latest in fighter technology to design a craft that was easy to produce but capable of keeping up in dogfights with other modern starfighters. It is exceedingly fast and nimble with its massive engines, and well-armed with ship-to-ship missiles and twin Cuprite-10 Shattercannons.
This build was a collaboration between myself and Red Rover. The original Star Interceptor was his design, and it was a fitting inspiration for a smaller companion to my Jaculus fighter. When I started working on it, Red was inspired to make a new pass at the ship himself. I rather liked his version, so this is now my take on his take on my take on his original MOC. Someday, we'll get to put our versions side-by-side, I hope!

This aircraft was delivered to Olympic Airways as SX-BKC in Sep-91. Olympic Airways ceased operations in Dec-03 and continued after being renamed Olympic Airlines. Olympic Airlines ceased operations at the end of Sep-09 and then returned as Olympic Air. This aircraft wasn't transferred and was stored at Athens in Oct-09. It was sold to AerSale Inc as N761AS in Jan-11 and was moved to Roswell, NM, USA for further storage. In Jun-11 the aircraft was leased to Air Manas (Kazakhstan) as EX-37401. It operated primarily for the Kazakhstan Government. It was sold to S Group International in Apr-14 and was stored at Istanbul-SAW. It was another three years before the aircraft was sold to a 'Mohammed al Khairy' as N816PD in Apr-17 and leased to Star East Airlines (Romania) as YR-SEB the following month. It was another year before it entered service, in May-18. It was wet-leased to Ellinair (Greece) for two weeks in May/Jun-18 and then wet-leased to Corendon Dutch Airlines in Jun-18. It was returned to Star East Airlines in Sep-18. At the end of May-19 the aircraft was leased to SmartWings Airlines (Czech Republic) and operated a few flights for CSA until 24-Jun-19 when it was operated on behalf of CSA full time (with just the odd flight for SmartWings), it was returned to SmartWings & Star East at the end of Sep-19. Current, updated (Nov-19).
St Mary's Church, rebuilt by Act of Parliament in the 1790s and replacing an even larger medieval building, is Banbury's only grade I listed building and its most conspicuous landmark. It was the largest parish church built in England in the 18th century, and remains among the top 1% in terms of size. It has been identified as a 'major parish church' by the Church Buildings Council.
The main body of the church was built in 1790-97 to a design by S.P. Cockerell, the tower and portico being finally completed in 1822. The interior was remodelled in the 1860s and
70s by Arthur Blomfield, with stained glass windows and wallpaintings by Heaton, Butler and Bayne, including major artwork by the highly talented pre-Raphaelite artist Alfred Hassam (1842-69).
Built to seat 2,500 worshippers, the church comprises a 90 ft (27.5m) square auditorium, originally galleried on all four sides, a substantial forebuilding that embraces the tower and contains a circular vestibule and the principal staircases, and a small chancel with attached vestries. It was transformed internally in 1874 when the chancel was raised to the full height of the church, an apse was introduced within it and it was integrated with the rest of the church by the addition of giant ionic pilasters replicating the columns that support the central saucer dome. The functional chancel was extended out into the main body of the church, originally defined by low walls (cancelli) modelled on those in San Clemente in Rome. Like the cancelli, the associated decorative scheme was entirely Early Christian in inspiration, and is dominated by a faux-mosaic in the apse of the twelve apostles, surmounted by Christ in Majestyin the semi-dome above.
The Chancel Paintings
Above the High Altar - in the dome of the apse, is depicted the Vision of the Throne of God from Revelation chapter 4; the rainbow, the four and twenty elders, the four living creatures, and the seven lamps symbolic of the Holy Spirit.
Behind the High Altar are the figures of the Twelve Apostles with appropriate symbols of their calling or martyrdom. From left to right they are 1) St James the Less, 2) St James the Great, 3) St Jude, 4) St Simon, 5) St Peter, 6) St Philip, 7) St John, 8) St Matthias, 9) St Bartholomew, 10) St Thomas, 11) St Andrew, 12) St Matthew.
The Windows
The stained glass is also of Blomfield's time, the most striking windows being those at the eastern end of the nave above the galleries - by an unknown artist. The upper windows in the gallery represent scenes from the life of Jesus 30 in all, while the lower windows illustrate 10 of his parables.
The organ was built by Byfield, Wilcox and Knight in 1765 for the old church. Since then it has been heavily modified several times.
In 2002 the chancel was extended forward to create a stage, facilities for those with disabilities were added, emergency lighting and toilets were installed and the church was redecorated.
I ordered a replacement handle for one of my vintage Le Creuset pans from www.etsy.com/shop/WorksinWood . The new handle is elm and looks very nice! It's a little bit chunkier than the original handle but is comfortable to use. I've posted a series of pictures showing how I replaced the old handle with the new one.
Here you can see the old one on the pan and the new one on the counter.
The project to replace the 61-year-old Salmon River Bridge on Highway 97 north of Prince George, is going to tender.
The old bridge will be replaced with a new structure that can handle oversize transport trucks. Wider and with a greater load capacity, it will support the movement of heavy loads required to service the resource sectors in the North such as oil and gas, LNG and forestry. The total value of the project is estimated at $24 million and work is expected to begin in the fall of 2016.
