This was the solution - button head bolts with a central allen key fixing that give about 3mm more clearance than the standard type on the right.
Somewhere on my journey home from Florida I lost my wallet. It might
have been stolen as there is a strange gas station purchase that was
attempted after I had lost it. I ended up having to go to the DMV and
contacting both my banks for new cards. I snapped this photo while
waiting for my temporary drivers license at the DMV. I'm sure glad
that I do not need to sit in that chair.

This scar is about 100 mm in length. The picture was taken a little before 3 weeks after a total hip replacement operation. Through this opening they cut off the top of my femur and inserted a metal prosthesis.
Today, at exactly 3 weeks after the operation, I can walk without crutches and drive my car. There is little bit of pain still, but nothing overwhelming.
I still can't put a sock or shoe on the foot of the affected leg.
In just one week after contacting Precision Matthews, a complete quill feed drive assembly arrives at my shop. Nice service. Stay tuned - I'm about to tear down the head again to install this replacement. I can already see that the brass pinion gear is in much better shape than the one that came with the mill originally.
