Caught a rock with my windshield and it had cracked from top to bottom, and side to side. It was cheaper to pay out of pocket than have my insurance rate go up.

Stagecoach 19000 - LX55HGC - route 103 - Romford Station.
Today marks 10 years since the 7/7 attacks, so I went to Romford to snap the replacement for the bus destroyed in Tavistock Square which has always bore 'remembering 7/7' on the side.
52 pillars have also been erected in Hyde Park in memory of the 52 killed in the bombings.
I think our commitment to those who have honourably gone before us is tremendous and long may it continue.
Also, long may our proud way of life continue - we are an open country with equal rights, democracy and a very multicultural society.

VP549 left Metroline in the history books as one of the last two remaining VPs in service at Willesden Garage alongside VP534. The pair was withdrawn from service on Friday 13th December 2019. Post Metroline 534’s life was short lived after an RTC lead to it catching fire. VP549 thankfully has a better story and lives on with Bear Buses. No prizes for guessing what its working/where but just in case, its pictured arriving at Hounslow Station whilst covering South Western Railway Rail Replacement.

The Antonov An-2 (Russian nickname: "Annushka" or "Annie" is a Soviet mass-produced single-engine biplane utility/agricultural aircraft designed and manufactured by the Antonov Design Bureau beginning in 1946.
In many ways I bet you this old plane design could replace the new modern Cessna Caravan plane that is used widely in the world today as a utility transportation plane. Might not be as fast as the Cessna Caravan but it could certainly land in areas where the other plane couldn't even think about landing and taking off. This old plane would probably carry more cargo in poundage. And add to the fact that is relatively inexpensive around $30,000 and up compared to the caravan that is probably over 1 million bucks this old design might have a lot going for it.
The An-2 is used as a light utility transport, parachute drop aircraft, agricultural work and many other tasks suited to this large slow-flying biplane. Its slow flight and good short field performance make it suited for short, unimproved fields, and some specialized variants have also been built for cold weather and other extreme environments. The Guinness Book of World Records states that the 45-year production run for the An-2 was for a time the longest ever for any aircraft
I talk to the owner who is restoring this old Russian Plane. He states it can land at about 35 miles per hour! Looking at "all" the manual flaps on this bird I can probably believe it. Looking inside it looks like a troop transporter as well design to land in rough areas.

It's June 2001, and the Erie Mining Co. plant at Hoyt Lakes has been closed for nearly six months. The company is shipping out the last of its stockpiled ore with borrowed ex-BN and ATSF GEs. On this day, a pair of ex-BN C30-7s are pulling ore empties past Cramer, Minn. While C30s are personal favorites of mine, they were sorry replacements for the F units I really wanted. Fortunately, I'd have a crack at those a few years later.

Playing around with the Luminar 4.2 update. The sky replacement options are limited and doing this to any extent would require creating my own portfolio of skies. Guess I could do it. Probably have a lot in my library. Not necessarily too motivated as this is just a fun thing to do. Very rarely at this point.
I first tried to do this with a color version, but the sky replacements all made the color of the plane change, too. So, did a conversion first then applied the sky.

Replacing an airplane tire just before takeoff is a critical task that requires efficiency and precision to ensure the safety and readiness of the aircraft. Here is an outline of the process:
### Steps for Replacing an Airplane Tire Before Takeoff
1. **Safety Precautions**:
- Ensure the aircraft is securely parked with the parking brakes engaged.
- Use wheel chocks to prevent any movement.
- Ensure all personnel are wearing appropriate safety gear, including gloves and protective eyewear.
2. **Gathering Equipment**:
- Obtain the necessary tools, including jacks, wrenches, torque wrench, and the replacement tire.
- Ensure the replacement tire meets the specifications for the aircraft model.
3. **Raising the Aircraft**:
- Use hydraulic jacks to lift the part of the aircraft where the tire needs replacement. This step requires careful attention to the aircraft's balance and weight distribution.
4. **Removing the Old Tire**:
- Deflate the old tire to prevent any pressure-related injuries.
- Remove the wheel nuts or bolts using the appropriate wrench.
- Carefully remove the old tire from the wheel assembly.
5. **Inspecting the Wheel and Brakes**:
- Inspect the wheel assembly and brake components for any signs of damage or wear.
- Clean the wheel hub and ensure it is free from debris.
6. **Installing the New Tire**:
- Place the new tire onto the wheel assembly, ensuring it is properly aligned.
- Tighten the wheel nuts or bolts by hand initially, then use a torque wrench to secure them to the manufacturer's specified torque settings.
7. **Lowering the Aircraft**:
- Carefully lower the aircraft back to the ground using the hydraulic jacks.
- Remove the wheel chocks and any other safety equipment used.
8. **Final Checks**:
- Inspect the newly installed tire to ensure it is properly seated and inflated to the correct pressure.
- Perform a visual inspection to confirm there are no loose components or issues with the installation.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are cleared from the vicinity of the aircraft.
### Time Sensitivity and Coordination
Given the time-sensitive nature of a pre-takeoff tire replacement, this process must be performed swiftly and accurately. Coordination with the flight crew and ground control is crucial to minimize delays. Communication with the maintenance team is essential to ensure all steps are followed meticulously without compromising safety.
### Record Keeping
Finally, proper documentation of the tire replacement must be completed. This includes recording the tire's serial number, the date and time of replacement, the personnel involved, and any other relevant details. This documentation is vital for maintaining the aircraft's maintenance records and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations.
