Noel Cruz is one of the most versatile & distinguished repaint artists in the doll community. He is most recognized for his character & celebrity based dolls due to their uncanny resemblance to the people they portray. His dolls are derived from several models like Gene, Tyler, Sydney, etc, by various doll-makers such as Robert Tonner & Franklin Mint. His repaints as well as his portraits are done with intricate detail to the point of being naturally lifelike in essence. Highly regarded among collectors and artists alike, Noel attempts to raise the bar and bring a fresh take to the common mass produced doll with every face he paints. Noel's specialty is with one of a kind repaints. The beauty of repaints is that almost no two are exactly alike just as no two artists are alike.

I felt like repainting today and to my surprise found a forgotten Tyler stored in her box in my fabrics cabinet. She has been repainted with acrylics and pastels and sealed with an UV spray.
Finally adding some paint apps to these lil things, rather than using the fiddly stickers that come with them..

Repainted my #Ellowyne the other day and she has become a totally different doll now. I repainted her torso and hands too and you can't tell much by this pic but I made her a skin texture too and it was easier than I expected it to be. I also reshaped her eye sockets that were uneven and opened her head to take her eyes out. I changed them for some imperfect 14mm glass eyes I'd but I like them more than the 12mm eyes she had. I'll post better pics later on #Tonner #modification #repaint #custom #vinyl #doll #dollstagram
When I bought my Princess of Japan doll to rebody I felt kind of bad just leaving a perfectly good body and outfit sit in the box so I shoved on a spare MTM Lea head. However the skin tones never matched so I’ve been sort of planning to give her Geisha makeup to cover up the mismatch.
I decided not to go overboard with it in terms of patterns and shading but rather chose a simplistic look to not overwhelm the kimono she’s wearing lol.
This is supposed to be a fake ddung doll. I got it for free with some other doll I bought. I thought I might repaint them instead of selling them as is. :) I like the brown/red eyed doll better hehe
Almost every evening, there were crew members out in the alleyways, touching up the paint here and there.
I like how Tessa (formerly a Skull Shore Ghoulia) came out :D I still have to re-root her but hey, I'm very happy with the painting job :P The tattoos I could have done better, I know!
I sold my first Ayumi repaint, so I made an attempt to recreate it.
Of course it would have been boring to do the exact same one, so I took this resculpt a bit further and used a different make up and hair, but in the end she was loosely inspired by Zhou Xun again. I named her Wei Meilian.
Sorry for the crappy pictures. I try to make a proper photo session with her as soon as possible. Even her hair is still wet from the styling in the pics, but I was too exited to wait. ;)
