Sanding down does make buses look terrible sometimes, with 66921 showing through remnants of both First and Stagecoach! You do get some interesting looks on the road! Repaint updates to follow…

J'avais cherché à faire quelque chose de magique, de reposant...
38221 has also now been repainted and goes the other way having been unbranded before but now in red front livery in preparation for route 1&2 branding. This one was always noticeable as the area around the destination display has been painted in fleet colours but it has reverted to matt black on repaint like its sisters. Another one repainted and now off the road five days after returning to service but it may just be routine servicing as it doesn't have any windsreen warning signs.
"Is that a new one?"
"No, it's just a repaint. It'll still run like all the others run."
CSXT ES40DC #5377 idles in the night air at the shop in Hanover, PA on August 11, 2025. The unit had recently been through the paint shop and was looking particularly sharp under the lights at Hanover. Nikon D780.
After a few unbranded repaints we gain another red front, 38215 now joining 382128-24 (bar long term out 38223) which suggests 38216/7 at least may follow in the scheme.
Seen here in Danestone with branding yet to be added to the red like 38221.
1. Spray painted chairs with several coats of green spray paint
2. Applied several coats of chalk paint.
3. Dry brushed with white chalk paint
I can't remember if I sealed these with creme wax, but I should.
I intended to post this when I posted the Skipper room with these green chairs, but I lost track of the before photos.
So I finished my repaints of Clawdia and Neighthan. Clawdia was a rush job where I focused more on personality than skill but yeah. I think I’m proud of how I could reduce her teeth paint but overall don’t look like I just left it blank.
Neighthan I debated on how detailed I should focus on his scarring but I figured leaving things a bit understated is more my forte.
Both his eyes are blue but one is the darkest I can manage and the other is the lightest so yeah.
