On 29 September 2008, the daily stone train from the Barossa Valley to the soda ash plant at Port Adelaide nears the end of its journey behind Genesee & Wyoming Australia Alcos 831/841
Surprisingly these locomotives had been recently repainted in a slightly modified version of the corporate colours of their previous owner Australian National - a decade after the sale of the business!
Someone must have stumbled across some unused tins of green paint in the shed.

Boeing 737-4K5 9H LAW belonging to new UK airline Air Horisont parked at East Midlands Airport (EGNX) 22/03/2024. It was awaiting a repaint which did not occur due to corrosion being found and was dismantled and scrappped later in Oct 2024.
Originally delivered to Hapag Lloyd in May 1990 as D-AHLR later having numerous operators over the years before being aquired by Air Horisont in Apr 2023.
Footnote:- Forward to mid section of the fuselage roaded to S.W.A.M. at St Athan South Wales 19/10/24, cockpit separated by GJD Services, the remainder believed to have been scrapped.
In February 1954, Marilyn Monroe went to Korea for a USO tour to entertain American troops, performing 10 shows over four days for an audience of over 100,000 soldiers. Sanding down does make buses look terrible sometimes, with 66921 showing through remnants of both First and Stagecoach! You do get some interesting looks on the road! Repaint updates to follow…

She just arrived yesterday (Thanks Michaela!) and today i just couldnt resist doing her repaint. While she was in transit, i was planning on using berries and nudes for color, though i would still have to see her skin tone if it will work. and it did. Now she's my african queen, and cant wait for her to be my fitter. :D

CSXT ES40DC #5377 idles in the night air at the shop in Hanover, PA on August 11, 2025. The unit had recently been through the paint shop and was looking particularly sharp under the lights at Hanover. Nikon D780.

38221 has also now been repainted and goes the other way having been unbranded before but now in red front livery in preparation for route 1&2 branding. This one was always noticeable as the area around the destination display has been painted in fleet colours but it has reverted to matt black on repaint like its sisters. Another one repainted and now off the road five days after returning to service but it may just be routine servicing as it doesn't have any windsreen warning signs.
1. Spray painted chairs with several coats of green spray paint
2. Applied several coats of chalk paint.
3. Dry brushed with white chalk paint
I can't remember if I sealed these with creme wax, but I should.
I intended to post this when I posted the Skipper room with these green chairs, but I lost track of the before photos.
After a few unbranded repaints we gain another red front, 38215 now joining 382128-24 (bar long term out 38223) which suggests 38216/7 at least may follow in the scheme.
Seen here in Danestone with branding yet to be added to the red like 38221.
