I nearly finished a repaint I was working on since longer, my Marilyn OOAK doll. I didn´t want her to look like a sexbomb, but to have a vulnerable and sweet expression, like she was captured on many photos made by Milton Green.
Still don´t know which outfit to make for her. any suggestions?
A second airing at a higher resolution for one of Walter Woolfendens personal images,
This shows the Lorain MC875 stripped down and almost ready for painting into Walter Woolfendens yellow paint scheme.
A large temporary structure was erected especially for this purpose.
The date of this image was 1965.
The reverse of the photo says that Jack Hardwick drove the crane from Surrey, to the first M1 services where Walter and Matt Allen took over to drive the crane the rest of the way. The complete journey took almost 24 hours arriving at Kirkby the following morning,
The crane was fitted with the basic 50ft of boom for the journey leaving the best part of 30 ft sticking out the front, thats pretty impressive for 1965 roads.
Another vehicle from my upcoming Gainsborough-repaint-pack-AI-list-thing is 18347, which was being driven around by the AI on this occasion and speeding off up Thorndike Way with a 101 to Park Springs. For some reason in Phase 3 the 1/2 were renumbered 101/102, even though IRL the Gainsborough circulars are 1 and 2.
Heh, at least they can be Trident-operated like real life now... or InterConnect E400, since there's one in the AI list that is specifically set to go off-route onto the 101/102 and such.
The Gainsborough Phase 3 AI groups, as they come with the map, have their good and bad points. There's only two, one designed for E200s (mostly 101s and 102s) and one for ALX400s (mostly 100s), and to avoid confusion the E200 group will be called the Local group and the ALX400 the InterConnect group.
Most of the ALX400s are on the Local group and most of the MMCs are on the InterConnect group. I've got one MMC on the Local group and three Tridents on the InterConnect group so occasionally an MMC will do a local route and slightly more often a Trident will be on the 100. Unfortunately, routes like the 590 are set to use the InterConnect group, so while it should be mostly Tridents, it will be mostly MMCs. The 103/104 have similar problems, although they seem to use buses from both groups at different times.
At certain times and on some days of the week, a bus from the Local group does trips on the 100, which does at least add the possibility of one of the other ALX400s making it down to Lincoln. It's unfortunate that there isn't aren't three groups; an InterConnect one with most of the MMCs doing the 100, a Local one with some ALX400s doing the 101/102, 590 etc and a Common group with one MMC and the rest of the ALX400s that have equal chance of appearing on the 100 or 101/102. On Phase 2 I set up a bunch of custom AI routes that used an AI group setup like that and it worked really well. The current one I've got with one MMC on the Local side and three ALXs on the InterConnect side is the closest compromise I can get without that third, common, AI group.

30006 BX07AYU is a Plaxton Centro bodied Volvo B7RLE that was part of the Wessex fleet in the Rotala empire.
It has been based in Kidderminster for several months but still hasn't acquired Diamond colours. Being a Volvo (rather than a VDL), you'd think it might gain a repaint though it looks rather folorn here in Kidderminster depot.
Monster high Abbey repaint. I wanted to fashion her into something more dragon like, so I repainted her with scales around her eyes. I'm working on making her a tail and will make her some wings too. The wig she's wearing is from MonstroDesign, I added a few locks of her original hair.
This unidentified Plaxton President Volvo is seen inside Hants & Dorset Paint and is about to recieve a new coat.
