As I was preparing to shoot some flower pictures, along comes this amazing vintage Corvette--I could not resist trying to capture this classic car's wonderful lines, color and shine.

I feel like that at any time, we will be underwater with all the rain we have had for over a week. One of our large trees was so waterlogged it toppled.

Thank you everyone for the faves and comments. I am overwhelmed!

Classic view of the Shanghai skyline (2013). At that moment, its highest tower, the 600+ meter Shanghai tower is still under construction.

Summer

I will admit that this color and lighting makes me uneasy which is exactly why I had to cross the street and grab it. There is something about the color green in scenes like this that really disturb me.....hmm

An awesome display of relfections at this location in the early morning!

I was going to call this image Lost and then An Ocean of tears. I couldn't decide so a mix is what I ended up with.

It is hard to be strong when someone is dying

and all you have

is useless tears.

This is a bomb proof for, where the soldiers slept and washed the clothing in the river.

Was a calm day and nice reflection on the river

You know how much I love to find a little bit of life in some puddle. Here is one that caught my eye as I wandered the Stary Rynek earlier today.

Walking to the studio with heavy supplies and a camera

I still have the curiosity of a wanderer

So on cold days, long days and wet weather

I still find a picture

Some morning colors to start the day

Lady Liberty riding with eagles on a chariot through the clouds towards the lights of Manhattan on Jane's Carousel in Brooklyn.

The Sierra Buttes reflect in the pristine, clear water of Upper Sardine Lake in the northern portion of the Sierra Nevada Range, California. The water was so clear that at one point I saw a rock and thought, "Let me put my foot on that rock to get a better photo," but it turns out the rock was 6+ inches under water!

Il-Ġebla tal-Ġeneral (literally the General's Rock) lies about 200m off the cliff face at Dwejra, Gozo and is about 120m across. In the 18th century, access was prohibited, to bar access to a plant which grows there (Cynomorium coccineum) considered medicinal by the Knights of St John. Offenders risked three years rowing on the Order's galleys. It is now a nature reserve. This shot was taken on a sunny December day when it was still allowed to visit Gozo...

A foggy morning at Bow Lake in Banff National Park. Fog was covering the area when I arrived by the shore of the lake. And I was the first one there that morning. Soon after I had a few clicks on my camera. I heard sound of footsteps behind me continuously. Many people are rushing in wanting to capture the fog on this wonderful morning. Colour didn't last long as usual especially there wasn't much clouds in the sky. But it did show some nice pastel colour right before sunrise.

Not long after arrival, the fog start moving towards the mountains as the sky gets brighter and brighter.

This was combined with multiple exposures using digital blending!

Thanks for viewing!

This picture is looking towards the Mainland Mountains. It was not a bad day for November, it stayed dry. There was a heron out on the rocks looking for its tea.

I would like to thank each and everyone of you for helping make the Frontpage of Explore: Highest position #2

Well I can honest say that this one of the most relaxing weekends I've had in a long time. It was beautiful yesterday here in Philadelphia and it was nice to get outside and get some fresh air and walk around the city. Today I’m heading off to do some Snowboarding and I can’t wait. It’s been ages since I last went. No doubt I’ll have to blow some of the rust off and I’m going to be sore as heck tomorrow morning, but it will be worth it.

Ok so about the picture. Here’s another photo from a series of shots that I took while I was in Stockholm last. It was just beautiful to sit and watch the sunset here and enjoy the moment.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Thanks everyone!

I mentioned last week that I was going to start my own little Wizarding Wednesdays thing (so creative of me), as I typically have a hard time finding when to post my Universal shots. Well, it turned out to be quite a good thing (37,000 views, what!?), and so here's a shot looking in the other direction that hopefully gains the same sort of love.

Enjoy a rainy day, wherever you are, in Hogsmeade!

Fairburn Reflections...

Fairburn Tank 4MT No.42073 is seen making a rare appearance on the service trains on the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway with the added bonus of her facing Haverthwaite. 42073 is seen departing Lakeside with the 1015 departure passing the River Leven Fell Foot.

Taken on the 27th August 2021.

Another in my reflection experiments.

While walking along the river Ouse in York I saw a line of these tall trees reflected in the water.

Made the most of the beautiful weather this weekend with a drive up the Aberdeenshire coast.

I ended up here which is one of my all time favourite places.

It is incredible what nature can sometimes produce, just like these strange and alien looking clouds over the south coast of Western Australia. This photo comes from the Elephant Cove near the town of Denmark and was taken on a stormy evening in early spring this year.
