Kennebunk ME. Sundown on the Mousam River

There was fog everywhere.

The sunrise was golden.

The reflections in the water, like a mirror, showed nature how beautiful it is. Enjoy!!!!

I must say that this mornings sunrise was....AWESOME! Wow.

Plac Wolności w Poznaniu

In a fit of excitement and to get to my spot I forgot to check my settings and had the ISO pumped...so if you look at the exif then you know...damn. Ah well.......roll with the punches.

Eindhoven is called the City of Light, due to its light bulb production roots of Philips, but also because of its yearly Light Festival Glow. This is a shot after about an hour after sunset at Strijp-S.

A busy bus lane in the front, the loft buidling Anton & Gerard on the left, recreational building "Area 51" in the middle. In the background, you see a power plant.

Let me know if you have any questions :)

"Reflejos de una mañana"

More glorious autumn, this time from the city of Łódź in Poland. I found this lovely scenery in one of the public parks. The mix of colours was fantastic. I loved the reflections and the touch of sunlight brought great vibrancy to the foliage.

Quite big part of the life of the regular landscape photographer is full of researches. We're looking for the new locations, new places for shooting. Dream of the new scenic places. Best of them stay with us till the rest of our lives. I'm happy I found such new location recently. A cute village and a pond. That evening was calm and magical, a true dream for me and for the billion of mosquitoes around:-)

A simple panorama of 3 shots.

Thank you for all the comments and faves, my friends.

The Tubemapper project means that I will be exploring underground stations a bit more. Here's a shot in between platfroms on the central line at Holland Park Station

Puddles have a way of causing instant reaction from me and often have the ability to inspire whimsical ideas. Not to mention the ability to make me stop and hover for a short minute, while doing my best to discover all of its secrets.

ring necked duck from North America apparently.

This is the second shot I got of this. The top roundel is over exposed, but the reflection is lovely. If I had more time perhaps I would have adjusted the exposure. Or maybe its better like this as it makes the reflection more special... hmmm who knows. I love it!

Added the relfection with BrainFever's Reflect Studio.

I have the privilege to encounter some dolphins yesterday, they came really close to the beach. It was a pleasure to see them swimming and jumping for more than 1/2 hour.

Doesn't downtown San Diego look nice at sunset, when the setting sun reflects off all the big glass skycrapers!

Looking west the signal lights disappear as the sun sets in Swanton Ohio. With a daytime high of 61, this feels like a warm summer night instead of late February.

A ‘Lockdown’ walk took me to this spot on the banks of the river Lynher. As I took in the familiar scene I couldn’t help but recall the times, more than 20 years ago, that my children and I spent peacefully sitting with our legs dangling over the edge of the pontoon, fishing for crabs, which were then released en masse from the bucket in a race down the beach to the water’s edge.

How times change. The pontoon has sunken, quite literally, into decay, and large red and white notices warn the intrepid intruder that all liability is disclaimed. However, when considering the changes wrought over time to this quiet creek, the demise of a jetty is only part of its continued evolution.

In 1068, two years after the Norman Conquest, King William came to Devon and Cornwall to put down an uprising. He ordered that castles be built, including one at Dunheved in Launceston and at another at Trematon. A site 1 ½ miles from the village, overlooking the Lynher estuary, then a 'highway' serving Cornwall's second most important town, St Germans, was chosen. By 1070 the "motte and bailey" castle had been constructed, and control of the manor transferred to it.

The group of cottages on the west bank of the creek is associated with the millpond. It dates back to 1613, and is an early example of harnessing the tides to provide power. As the tide goes out and comes in, the water rushes through the narrow channel between the old mill and the stone boundary wall, turning the now removed miller's wheel.

The viaduct carries the main London to Penzance railway line across the creek. It was built in 1908 to replace one of several wooden crossings erected by by Isambard Kingdom Brunel in the mid 19th century.

Renovations and new buildings can be seen in the hamlet, but ignoring the notices, I gingerly inched my way out a short distance on the rotten planks to adopt a viewpoint that would cut them out. Today was for reminiscing.

Autumn

Like a good mystery novel, this morning unraveled into a little bit of that similar feel for a few minutes as I was walking to work. Better that it was my imagination but still such a cool vibe and atmosphere I couldn't help but try and catch a small glimpse of it....

the ride from osaka, where the kansai airpot is to kobe was quite long, almost an hour. i had time to play around with my peleng russian fisheye lens. it is 8 mm and fully manual. i get a circular image on the 5D, then i just cropped off the extra black circular vignette.

i am off to paris tomorrow! i think i will bring the fisheye. i might get some pretty interesting shots with this lens.

HMM!

Found this colored stream at National Park the Slufter at Texel. My guess is that there is some sort of metal in the ground and water that corrodes, which gives this red color on the bottom of the stream. The sand of course has a warm tint of its own. I turned the polariser half way, so the left side of the frame shows some relfections of the blue sky, and therefor provides a bit more contrast and makes it (what I believe is) an interesting color palette. Like an aquarelle painting!

Thanks for having a look! All faves and comments are highly appreciated!
