This was a reflection shot from a window on the rooftop terrace at the Uffizi Museum in Florence, Italy. The lights inside look like stars in the sky.

Close observers of my pool reflection shots may notice that we had the oak trees (though not the palm, which isn't ours) "vista-pruned" to open the view and help the trees grow in a healthier way.

The colours of a male rainbow in the spring is a sight to behold.

I wanted to try to get a reflection shot of myself from it but it was too high up. This actually hides behind the round digital screen until the encore of Comfortably Numb. The screen is on a winch and begins to tilt down revealing the giant disco ball. It's gotta be my favorite part of the show.

A sitter of a reflection shot, I love all the 'bits' of seaside stufffed into this picture. The yucca, the bus stop, the flag, the dune grass... all unceremoniously composed by the placing of the window at which I pointed the camera. I've become a big fan of winter light. Where before I wished for sun and heat now I''m happy to savour the diffuse if chilly skies of mid-winter. Seadside out of season: an Englishman at ease.

Bad news: Finally biffed the drone into something last night. Good news: It crashed into the trees next to the pond and not the pond itself. Better news: It still works as you can see by the above photo I took with it after. Best news: Found a cool new spot to take pics from because of this.
