Down at Cathedral Beach there are some spots with very still water.
I went a little crazy with reflection shots ;-)
A reflection shot of one couple of the statues at the La Brea Tar Pits. Yes, that's an oil slick on the surface. Cool, huh?
A BNSF Pleasant Prairie coal empty rolls through Rondout, Illinois in the early morning light. I just couldn't get the angle right to get a reflection shot in the mosquito-infested puddle, but I received a hell of a lot of bites to reward my failed attempt.
Another reflection shot in City Hall's windows on the Podium level-taken on a 500px photowalk. Various illustrious photographers in the background. Taken with my nose almost touching the glass with the Sigma 10-20.
2014-074. 16Mar2014. Reflections. Shot at Capitol City Brewing Company, DC, circa 2010. SOOC with basic LR tone and presence edits only.
Just another reflection shot of moi. I like them. And I love staring into the lake. I keep looking for fish or tadpoles but it's really still too early for that.
p.s. Isn't it cool how clear the camera is? Well, half of the camera, anyway.
Next in the series of off-centre reflection shots. A lot of the shops that are now based in Liverpool One have left empty shops dotted around the rest of the city centre area – this is one such shop on Bold Street. It’s a shame to see so many empty shops but it gives you a chance to get shots like these without being hassled.

A rather silly Valentine's Day display that became an interesting reflection shot. Just look at all of these wonderful windows covering the upper body of the "Wild Thing!"
Why huge stuffed animals are considered romantic is beyond me! But, clearly, it works for some people... :~>
The odd thing here is that the features of the "Wild Thing" are nearly completely obliterated by the superimposed, reflected building across the street.

Reflection shot from one of the windows at Grotto's Pizza, where the State Theatre (RIP) used to be.
Reflections shot through a piece of beamsplitter glass. These are not double exposures or photoshop composites.
Reflection shot.
I'm reading the Diane Arbus biography. Interesting story. Did you see the movie Fur? Supposedly inspired by the Patricia Bosworth book, it was a funky little movie. Still haven't found much of the movie's plot in Bosworth's written portrayal, but it's still an interesting story.
