Well, this is another reflection shot of the stairs from Time Square. This is a much strong composition in my opinion because of the angle and contrasting colour.
This reflection shot gives a whole new meaning to that term, doesn't it?! I'm glad I can park my bike wherever I want, Life is already complicated enough without having to worry about a parking space :)

I'm becoming a bigger and bigger fan of reflection shots. I don't know if this was a pool of water left over from Sandy or what but it made an excellent surface for the shot.
This is the other reflection shot I took on my downtown shoot two weeks ago. I'm not sure this one works quite as well as the one I posted on Monday, but I still like it. I'm definitely going to have to develop a real series around this idea.
Technical information: Shot with a Nikon D40 and Nikkor 50mm f/1.4G lens, in manual exposure mode. Aperture f/1.4, shutter 1/1000 sec, ISO 200. Post-processing in Aperture 3: cropped in close; several curves layers for highlight recovery, black point, and contrast.
Thoughts for improvement: For a couple of reasons, I wish I had gotten in much closer. First, I don't particularly like the fence and the man's shoulder in the foreground. Second, I ended up cropping out about 3/4 of the image, which makes for a much lower resolution final image.
so you get a bathroom reflection shot. also no AW this week because JCM is here and why even bother.
but i do have a new coat and a matching shirt. both on sale.
Reflection shot I took of a building in Cape Town being renovated.
I tried the polariser and the reflection was thanks to a tour bus standing across the road from the building.

So I'm shooting these serene mirror like reflection shots of the Lesser Blue Heron, and the Tri-color Heron who was on the other side of the pond decides he wants some attention too! LOL! Boom, there he was in the view finder, bigger than Dallas. I'm glad he flew in, because I think one of the shots I got of him, may be an all time fave for me. I'm getting ready to post it. Can I get a drum roll please? LOL!!
Again, I am so blessed to live here in Brandon, FL. There is just so much beauty in nature here! I can't get enough! Thanks for viewing!

A reflection shot based off a pose from a Nikon D80 ad I saw in PopPhoto. Harder to do than I thought it would be but I'll do it again.
This came alright, pose wise. The color though is all shot to hell. If someone can explain to me how to fix the white balance on this I'd really appreciate it.
Fear not, I recently purchased Understanding Exposure and as soon as Amazon gets it to me, I'll begin to understand this whole light business.
Well you know, try to understand it at any rate.
I've always been drawn to reflection shots, especially if there's several layers of people (on each side of the glass and in reflection) to give the image some depth. The guys arm up over his head is what drew me to the shot, and having 'burt' walk by at an opportune time helped...
Project 365 - Day 1 Reflection...
Shot while procrastinating I actually went out to mow the lawn but was feeling a bit more creative.
