Another reflection shot tonight as Mondays are always very busy and not a whole lot of time left for the daily SP. It was a relatively good Monday as Mondays go. Looks like we'll have a big contract signed this week and everyone should just about billed out at work again. Still time to get a good 3rd Quarter. Too bad the heat is back. But hey, that's Redding for you.
Experimental reflection shot. Very dramatic lighting and contrast, opinions/suggestions are welcome.
Angey for not having my depolarizing filter with me, none-the-less some cool reflection shots happened...
They keep the glass on the trains clean so the passengers can see out. But, it sure helps the photographers with the reflection shots.
This is the first reflection shot I've done or even first photo of myself on flickr besides the profile picture with my cool beans TY Beanie Baby "Nanook". I don't know how many other reflection shots I will be having but I really enjoyed this one because it shows a bit of my "daily routine" with my camera. Just like on this occasion, I woke up at 5 a.m. to catch the sunrise carrying my nifty tripod around and just clicking as I go. And coincidentally while walking pass this building (I think it's the Library. I could be totally wrong), I noticed a glow in the back with just how vibrant the colors was from the sunrise and the lighting seemed really ideal so I laid down the pod, and click, I went.
Today was a lazy Sunday. I took some pictures of Joey and used the opportunity to get in my SP with a reflection shot.
Joey's been getting ready for the Chico Women's Club Artisan Faire in Chico on April 21st. It is part of the Celebration of Women Festival in Chico, CA. She and Sheryl have a booth at the show and will have lots of new work that Joey's been preparing. Should be fun and a great opportunity for photos of people.
I love reflection shots, especially the ones where the reflection looks almost identical to the real thing.

Had a lot of fun shooting the Grid today with a few flickr friends.
Photo taken inside the September 2008 Atlanta Grid.
For threesixtyfive, 365 Days and the Atlanta Grid Project.
This is a fun reflection shot.
Moptops is a hair cutting place for kids. I have never been there as my kids are not kids anymore ... but if they were I am sure they would have loved to go here.

I was excited upon arriving at Juanita Bay to see the moon still up. Immediately I knew what that meant - reflection shots. I just had to convince something to work with me.
My first attempts were some pied-billed grebes. These turned out to be mischievous little waterfowl, as they'd wait for me to notice them, then just when I had the angle right they'd dive into the water and reappear out of range. That was frustrating, but my heart beat faster when a beaver appeared.
Luckily, I was there way before any other people, or it likely wouldn't have stayed. Being careful to make no sudden moves, I followed it as it mosied around the lily pads. It found a nice branch far from the reflection, and then, perhaps sensing how much I was hoping, it moved to just within range.
The moment lasted only for a few seconds, but I was more than happy to get the shot.
The book caught my eye as I turned away from my aisle shot and the reflection shot. (the two previous photo's in this set) No it was not staged, it was there. Oh, it's the digital photography shelf!
