Unedited puddle reflection shot of Dutch Football supporters Sunday in Amsterdam. Taken with my Panasonic DMC-FZ8. No editing, no magic tricks, no Photoshop :)

Yesterday the Dutch team lost 1:0 against Spain in the final match of the 2010 FIFA World Cup...

It seemed for a while as if the Dutch team, supported by all the orange people, would beat Spain, but thanks to an incorrect offside decision, Spain won and we all went home sad...see you in the Euro 2012 Spain, haha ;-D

Thank you all for your marvelous support throughout the tournament, its been 4 fun weeks, lets do that again soon :)

I've also made tons of movies of the final match in Amsterdam, watch them on my YouTube page :)

Not quite a reflection shot :)

This was my first foreign trip for over two years; back to the fabulous photo hides in Hungary.

One of a group of reflection shots I took on an old sand quarry, spun by me

Managed to take a couple of night shots during our stay in Amsterdam. The canal cruise closed early before the blue hour and we can't go inside the dock. Supposed to be a reflection shot of the beautiful buildings nearby but we have to contend ourselves shooting outside the gates. There are couple of mistakes I made capturing this image. To the trained eye, you can spot it easily. We are in a hurry for our lobster dinner that I tend to overlook some key elements. LOL.

Again a reflection shot from store's window.

Trying to grab a reflection shot, inside the Cage Master storm drain was rather tricky!, Being a long exposure, the water had to be perfectly still, which was tricky with flowing side pipes!

... You're standing in my reflection shot!"

I put the camera about an inch from the water for this nice reflection shot. This spot always yealds vivid blue color. No polorizor and mid day.

This is a reflection shot of Lake Fulmor taken around 11:30pm on a cloudy night.

I hate it when those damn things get in the way and ruin a good mirror self portrait.

This is the original for the reflection shot

Here's another water reflection shot taken at Anglesey Abbey. The boy throwing stones into the water, made my photo much more interesting than it would have been.

Ye olde sunglass reflection shot, certainly a cliché

One would think that a simple reflection shot would be easy but, alas, this was exposure 36 of a 36 exposure roll.

He was so bleeding tired of this whole thing. We'd been standing at that mirror for 30 minutes changing this and tweeking that. When he leaned over and stuck his elbows on the faucet to do this i'm sick of it thing it was so right,so innocent and unposed.

i'm so glad he finally went there :)

this is my tribute to the monk's fabulous building reflection shots, like this one and this one.

another window reflection shot... from an earlier shoot this winter at Interlochen Center for the Arts.

A deliberate reflection shot of me and the 8yrold watching the sunrise in the sunglasses of the Authority. Some "stripes" in here so I will also use this as a lame silhouetted-me return to the awesome Me-Again-Monday group.

Last picture of the day. Had to get a good reflection shot! :-)

a perfect day for reflection shot, nothing beats the real thing...

Hi everyone!

Well today a reflection shot, to be honest I had not motivation for my shot today and somehow the day could be better... but well tomorrow will be another day.

Good night you all!

Me -Every photographer occasionally posts a "selfie" of various kinds. A lot of times it is a "cheesy" bathroom mirror or other type reflection shot. This is one of mine. Been doing a lot of reflecting lately on who I am. This is pretty much it. I am a human being who works at a job that for the first time in my life, I actually don't hate. I am a passionate photographer who sees beauty in almost everything around me. I am as about as "real" as they come. Brutally honest at times, that is often perceived as negativity. I see it as speaking my mind about things that matter & I try to make a difference by doing so. I believe in life after death & that God has a purpose for not only this life, but the one that follows. I, through my photography try to paint a picture at how I see this beautifully tragic roller coaster of a life. I would take a bullet in the head for my family if I had to. For the 1st time in 39.999999 years I feel comfortable in my own skin. I do not worry about offending ANYONE. I simply try to keep things simple. Including not taking myself too serious. I am no better than ANYONE on this planet in GOD's eyes. He love's us all. So I must try and love everyone, even if I don't "like" someone or agree with them. It is not my place to judge. I know who I am. I know where I stand on things. If my beliefs & my honesty offends you, hopefully you get something positive out of it. If not, maybe your missing something. My hope is to leave my mark on this planet through my family that I leave behind.Through my photography. My advise to YOU: Slow down, smell the roses, coffee, rain. Enjoy the scenery, loved ones around you. Tell them you love & appreciate them. Don't assume they know it. They need to hear it. Explore nature. Explore the local small towns, cities around you. Get to know your neighbor by actually talking to them face to face. Take yourself out of your "comfort" zone & open your eyes & senses to this magnificent world around you. Take photographs, paint, write, make art. Dance with your wife & children in the living room. This is me. Take it or leave it. Life IS beautiful.

Another lake reflection, shot near the small town of Eaton, New Hampshire

An 'Inception' inspired shot of the Artscience Museum in Singapore. The glass facade at the entrance facilitated the reflection shot.

Another chance for a reflection shot using the foal who seemed to be posing.

I don't usually do this but many wanted to see ALL of the shots we took on Wild Horse Loop so I'm posting this batch of shots and then moving on to Utah pics.

Waterfall with treeline & sunset in the reflection. . . shot from above the dam lock, Sulphur fork creek.

It was a hurried moment to get to this scene and after a couple of shots, I noticed that I was cutting off some of the tree in my frame. So I reframe for this shot and I actually think this is a better composed image but I like some of my earlier shots because the reflections were clearer. To late, the tide was rising too fast for a clearer reflection shot.

Most might look at this shop window and simply see a pretty dress. In fact, when I was making a series of reflection shots of this unfortunate headless mannequin, a man walked by and said, "Nice dress!"

At first, I thought that the pallor of the pink wouldn't work for a reflection shot, but I was wrong. The pallor allows the red brick facade from the building across the street to be "added" to the dress, giving it a more saturated tone. And the pallor also allowed the tree to "appear" better than if the dress had been red, blue, green or another deep color. And the floral embroidery lends itself, too, to the "disappearing act"; the trees are a continuation of what is on her dress. She's a bit like the Cheshire cat in Alice in Wonderland...

Most importantly, what we see is based in/on our imagination...not always on just what we see.

For six word story.

A little too windy to get the classic Perry's Pond reflection shot at Coxo. Just past the grade crossing South of Windy Point, the 489 heads towards Chama.

I had a cup of coffee for the first time in a while. It was great and Illy to boot. Sitting here listening to Stephen Duros . Some wonderful music. This reflection shot had me poised over my cup of coffee with my camera against my forehead and nose. Not the best pic ,but, hi!

Was trying to take another reflection shot of me in the window, but they didnt come out right so just turned the camera round and took a normal shot.

The Challenge: Take one self portrait each day for a year.

Each day, take a self portrait, tag it with "365days", and submit it to the pool. It's that simple!

A replacement of sorts. Another Foggy Lake Reflection shot out at Tchesinkut Lake, BC

I'm a fan of the streaky falling snow.

not the best sunset in the world ... but it's a bit like one of those i-spy games, had to come home with a reflection shot!

I love reflection shots.

1970s architecture at the corner of Hamngatan and Norrlandsgatan. Oh, and it took the City a while to fill up the pond so that I could take a few reflection shots.

Sometimes right as the mountain starts to pink up the fog rolls in. When that happens you can forget the reflection shots and go to plan B. I remember several years ago getting up at 2am and and making a 4 hour drive up there. Then waiting about an hour for the mountain to turn pink, only to have heavy fog roll in and block everything. Couldn't even see the mountain. You just make the drive and hope it works. If not there is always next year. ;-)

a passing rain cloud gave me an opportunity to grab a reflection shot

With the weather grey and windy there was no chance of a reflection shot of the afternoon WAG return to Holyhead at Malltraeth Viaduct , so a quick foray into Newborough Forest on the off chance ! Result at 406pm ,squirrel's feed time.

We didn't manage any sort of reflection shot this week for the challenge. Instead, we did come across a newly adopted bluetick puppy today at the trailhead and spent the rest of our hike reflecting that it was this week 13 years ago when a bluetick puppy came into our lives and blew us away with her expressive bay and humongous personality. I hope the new puppy's moms have as great a time with her as we've had with Gracie.

the same location from the reflection shot :)
