This series of rapids lead to Rainbow Falls and the Porcupine Ridge near the Goat Haunt Ranger Station in the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park.
The run-off has started in the high country and the rivers and small mountain streams are filling their banks!
St. Mark's in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan was built of stone quarried from the nearby Grand River and dedicated on September 9, 1849. It is distinguished now as the oldest public building still standing in the city. I took my photo on the evening of May 18, 2016. St. Mark's history

This river is called Southern Bug. It flows through the town were i was born and goes into the Black sea. Closer to the sea it has got picturesque liman were thousand years ago was a Greek maritime city. The river has got lots of character. It is very quite in the towns and energetic and rapid in other places. This village is cold Pechera. When i was 10-12 years old we were going camping there with my mum and her work collegues . The men were floating the rapids in the boats... We were allowed only to watch forgetting how to breath...
In 15th century this land was briefly under the Ottoman Empire. A moldavian landlord has buil a beautiful park on the hills. There are still stone staires there. I do not think anyone else bothered since that time. But it is stunningly beautiful there...

The water is flowing fast at present even though the level is low, and the rocks are therefore disturbing the surface more than usual.

I've found that the mother's name was Lillian. Pearl was born in 1892 and Isabelle in 1898. Isabelle married in 1919.
Passengers in the Skytop Lounge 'Cedar Rapids' get a good view of the namesake lake in Howard Lake, MN.

This house is built from design number 44 found in The Cottage Souvenir No. 2 (1891) by George Franklin Barber. It is located in the Heritage Hill neighborhood of Grand Rapids.
The confluence of Pearl Street, Monroe Avenue, and Monroe Center Street in downtown Grand Rapids. I wish I had noticed the star trails happening while I was shooting this intersection. I would've stayed a little longer. These existing star trails are artificially lengthened and gaps filled in.
