Railroad tracks near my house in the morning light. I like the way they get lost in the mist. The repeating pattern of the rails and ties along with all the converging lines worked for me too...
I ride over these tracks on the way to work everyday and have often thought it would make a good picture.
Near the disused Maxwelltown Railway Station the original railway line serving the Scottish Fuels distribution depot is still in place and can been seen from Maxwelltown Railway Cycle Path in Dumfries.
This route was part of the old Paddy Line that ran from Dumfries to Stranraer. This section of the railway line was left in place after the closure of the Paddy line as it served the ICI Works at Cargenbridge.

Peering out from under the stones washed in by the waves, are these rails. Amazing they are still in place. Also, some wooden sleepers. On the right hand side is a trough, presumably for drainage.
