Our 2 x 3 front frame rails are bent from high quality domestic 2 x 3 .120 Wall material that is pickled in oil. All our bends are smooth and free of wrinkles on the sidewalls, as well as being clean for better welding. Fill out the diagram and the form below, and we'll email you an estimate for standard front frame rails. Please call 1-877-633-RACE or (410) 549-1112 to order.

This is an old rail bridge near my house. I liked the cold feel to this picture. Behind are the rail lines

In the last day or so a shiny new website has sprung up for the Rails web-application framework.

A while back a made a comment that I’d rather write a video game in Fortran than have to write another web-based application without Rails which still very much holds true today.

While checking out the new site I see that my quote is on the front page... Just below that of Dave Thomas. I'm famous! Or maybe not. All I know is that there is no way my name should appear on the same page as Dave Thomas. I'm not 1/8th the programmer that guy is.

Turnham Green lines…

For Kitty's rainbow weeks' orange Tuesday. I was at a bit of a loss for what today's orange might be, but then I started to see faces in the rails on the bus. I think this looks like a friendly snake.

I got up to take this photo and the bus driver, understandably, thought I wanted to get off the bus. I'm sure the other passengers were muttering as well, not that it really matters. I think this week will be an exercise in trying not to worry that I look a bit bonkers!

Part of the rail network to be found at Pembroke Dock, some still on MOD land but this part is home to various small companies, this was at one time connected to the main line.

In Eisenbahnwagen is es gewäsen:

Da fuhren Sie zwee von Leibzg nach Dräsen,

Se gannten sich nich, se hatten sich nie

Gesähn, un saßen sich wis-a-wis.

Von Bassaschieren gab’s weiter geene

In dän Gubbeh, se fuhren alleene.

So saßen se dicht an enander dran

Un guckten sich hin un wieder an

Un lächelten heeflich fort un fort –

Doch Geener sprach sie ä Sterbenswort.

(M’r will ja nich immer der Ärschte sein

Un manchmal fällt een ooch grade nischt ein...)

Doch wie se nu so ä bar Stindchen gefahren

Un etwa in Getzschenbroda waren – –

Da litt’s den Eenen nich länger mehr.

Er rickte noch ä Stick näher her,

Zog’n Hut un fing sehre heeflich an:

»Sie fahren... wohl ooch... uff d’r Eisenbahn?«

The up starter signal at Amberley is of the later style, built from old rails and with a flat cap: compare this with 'Signal Detail 2'. Note the lamp shining through the green lens.

Railroad tracks near my house in the morning light. I like the way they get lost in the mist. The repeating pattern of the rails and ties along with all the converging lines worked for me too...

I ride over these tracks on the way to work everyday and have often thought it would make a good picture.

A rail yard in Cambridge, MA. I didn't notice the curves in the rails towards the top of the frame until later. Not sure what that's for!
