The rails of the new Seattle light rail on the day of its opening.

Former rails that lead to the terminal building in the background and ended underground in what was used for manufacturing aircraft during the end of WWII.

Rails magazine, 'ik blijf een controll freak'. And in our new morning paper 'De Pers' someone mentioned a 'collecters item'.

The end of the line

This is a particular example of rail wear, with corrugation on the rail surface. The trams make a roaring noise as they go over. This is a well-known phenomenon, known as 'roaring rails'. It tends to recur when the rails are replaced.

Delays on the (overground) underground.

Hehe... it seems I'm not the only who has some issues in our Rails application :P

Railroad coming from nowhere and leading to nowhere.

On our last morning, Tom and I walked to a spot where several rails came together, hoping to see a train. We didn't, but we saw some awesome graffiti.
