The pups are 10 days old today. They live in a cardboard box under the desk in our back room. This space will expand as they get get bigger, but this provides a secluded, reasonably quiet place for them and Mini.
The news is good on Little Pink. She is now 275 grams, which is a considerable improvement on the 200 she was stuck at Sunday/Monday, but not a patch on Brown Boy's 550. She's improving, but not out of the woods yet.
Mini is eating like a horse, but still skinny, so we're throwing as much good food down her as possible.

The Grey seals are however more common by a factor of 3 in the UK.
Mating is promiscuous, and delayed implantation takes place probably associated with how plentiful food is. They preferably feed on smaller fish, coephalopods and crustaceans. Over fishing of larger fish has probably contributed to an increase in smaller and medium size fish that the prefer. However they are not welcome around fish farm cages where shooting has been known to take place.
These whiskery ladies will pup soon. Their pregnancy will have lasted about 9 months. The young will swim within hours, as the tide requires them to. The pups grow very quickly on the very rich milk produced by well fed mothers.
They are shy and move into the water leaving the pups at the slightest disturbance. These viewed from 'Calum's Seal Trips' boat the Sula Mhor out of Plockton. A safe distance is appropriately kept.
Lens equivalence is 840mm which allows reasonable frame filling from a safe distance. The higher ISO used is to compensate for the rocking vessel which is essential.

The wolf compound is huge now, broken into multiple sections, and the pups chat with Amadeus, their new dad, for the brief time that they're separated. He and Hopa are doing great things with the pups -- teaching them manners and wolfness, and generally loving on them -- and they're both clearly so happy to finally have a full pack.
Roland and Trekkie live at the Conservators' Center in Mebane, NC. They were taken in after their mom had too many pups to raise, and refused to feed them. They're about 4 months old here, and they're the sweetest pups ever. (See the rest of the set for baby pictures!)
