Happy Canadian Thanksgiving!

Jarrahdale Pumpkin is flattened like Cinderella but with a light blue/grey color. Deeply ribbed.

Pumpkin (Cucurbita pepo) is a cultivated plant that is round, with smooth, slightly ribbed skin and deep yellow to orange coloration.

Waiting to be carved..

Lots of pumpkins at Tim's pumpkin patch at Rose Hill. My grandson likes running up and down between the lines of pumpkins.

This part of the pumpkin patch was somewhat dark due to an adjacent hill, and setting sun. The Nikon SB-800 was able to handle the job and make this beautiful shot.

Heavy duty pumpkin at Ort Farms, Long Valley, NJ.

I had to balance between my desire to get on the ground behind the pile of gourds, and my desire not to look like a crazy person. Darn proprieties.
