While I had the flashes set up for the cats, I made a pic of some little pumpkins we picked up at the farmers market. I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.
I've always wanted to try to create a shot with selective coloring - here is my first try. Thanks to my brother for showing me how to do this:)
This was taken a few miles from East Lansing, Michigan on a crisp autumn day. We spent the day at a corn maze followed by a hunt to find the perfect pumpkin:)

The farm stand across the street from my house just set out its pumpkins for sale. They put out a scale and the rest is done on the honor system: people weigh a pumpkin and then leave the money for it.

I saw this pumpkin field while out for a run on Sunday and came back around sunset to get some photos. The pumpkins look ripe and ready for the picking.

One of the things I like about carrying a camera around is recording the same annual events but trying to make them look different than the year before. Here is this year's group of pumpkins. I'd choose the white one.
